I had terrible customer service from the receptionist desk today. I had an apt scheduled at 4pm today with Jalissa who I have really enjoyed but was unfortunately unable to make my commitment this afternoon. I called the salon yesterday at 2pm and left a voicemail letting the salon know that I needed to cancel and that I wanted to rebook for later this week or next pending availability. Today at 4:12 I got a call from the salon asking where I was - I informed them that I called to cancel yesterday and I could no longer make it. I was put on hold while presumably the receptionist went looking for my voicemail. They informed that they received my voicemail but that they had called me this morning and left me a voicemail (which I did not receive a missed call or voicemail) to ask me when I wanted to reschedule. As I did not receive the call or voicemail I did not call them back. I asked for documentation that they called me but they “have a landline that doesn’t track that.” They have now charged me a $100+ late fee due to the 24hr cancelation policy (which I called in advance of) because according to the receptionist “we weren’t sure when you wanted to reschedule for so we didn’t cancel your appointment”. Even though I obviously wouldn’t have called to cancel if I wanted to keep my 4pm appointment today….and they received the call. I went back and forth with the receptionist multiple times trying to understand why a voicemail 26hrs in advance of an appt asking to cancel and reschedule wasn’t sufficient and why they needed to confirm with me before cancelling an appointment (even though I didn’t receive the confirmation attempt). On Monday I also tried to cancel my appt via the confirmation email and online but was unsuccessful because the only option is to “confirm appointment”. I will not be returning...
Read moreThe first time I went here it was amazing and I had the color I requested. However, couple months ago I asked for dark brown with chocolate brown balayage and I ended up with blonde highlights like big chunks. Of course I called salon to get new toner so I went in and the stylist mentioned I complained about price, called Salon. The service was $350, of course I called and requested darker toner in which the stylist mentioned when I came in that I called salon etc, yes I called because it wasn’t color I asked. I didn’t call to make her look bad, I wanted the color I asked, sometimes color comes out different on hair types etc, she did amazing job first time however when I came in to redo it, she mentioned she did a lighter color. I just didn’t appreciate the comments making me feel ashamed for complaining and when she redid color it looked better however still wasn’t what I asked. It still was lighter, I decided let it go, was something different and I couldn’t dye hair again. Will not be going back. $350 very pricey for a much lighter color and that’s level 1 lol can’t believe there are higher prices. The stylist I had just made me feel guilty for complaining about not getting color I requested, yes I will ask to change color if it’s not what I requested. I work hard also for my money, I could care less if the stylist works hard to offer such high prices sorry but those comments are not ok. I have a higher paying job now and still won’t go back. To charge hundreds, I mean they don’t do any better than other salons like Salon Echo which charged me $100 for amazing aveda color and...
Read moreI wish I could give six stars, to say i'm blown away would be a gross understatement. Having just moved to Chicago, I was really nervous about trusting someone new to tackle the disaster that was my hair. I had seen the same colorist for over ten years so I was skeptical anyone could meet my high expectations but was willing to give it a try because I looked like a hot mess. I'm so glad I did! Destiny absolutely blew me away. Punctual, friendly, kind and girl knows her stuff! I came in with a solid 2.5 inches of natural regrowth to compliment my grown out black hair (i'm a natural ashy brunette) and botched highlights. I originally booked for a balayge but after her recommendations, ended up doing a full blown color correction. She informed me of the pricing differentiation, ensured me this was the best way to revive my tired locks but also let me make the decision and was really respectful about it! After seeing her other work, I trusted her professional judgment. Man oh man am I glad that I did. Never in my life have I been so impressed with the outcome of my hair! I was willing to fly across the country to get my hair done by my reliable colorist but after visiting Salon Envy, that won't be necessary. The salon is clean, all staff interactions were personable and kind, their product selection and what they use is top of the line and my hair couldn't look better! They sanitized absolutely everything top to bottom and I felt genuinely safe being in the space. Would recommend this salon to absolutely anyone and everyone! I will, without a...
