Beresford Manor — Local services in Lake Worth Beach

This is one of several gift stores nestled among restaurants on Lake Ave in downtown Lake Worth. It is the most elegant of the gift shops. While other stores have a mix of new and old or carry Florida souvenirs, Beresford Manor specializes in high quality items made in France. The inspiration for Beresford Manor came from the owners trips to France where they embraced the phrase art de vivre which translates to English as the art of living. The shop opened in 1993 and they have been in business for 30 years in downtown Lake Worth. As soon as you open the door you feel welcomed in both English and French.

I came in looking for a birthday gift for a friend who loves lavender. I found the perfect item on a cart filled with bath items made with lavender from Provence. The narrow store is long and there are several rooms of linens, kitchen items, accessories, folding umbrellas, and personal care items from all over France. The melamine serving trays and bright colored placemats were especially pretty. They had a great selection of dish towels too as well as gorgeous fabric and wall paper so you can give your home the French country look. Prices ranged from a few dollars to much more. The gentleman who runs this shop is just the best! He was so helpful and patient. I know I can be a bit much. But he was just wonderful and charming. I ended up buying the cutest umbrella. It's Monet's Poppy fields, he has so many designs to choose from. They are the upside down type that work better too! But I wanted to buy just everything in this beautiful shop. I will be back to buy umbrellas as gifts, they are just that good, and supplies for my kitchen! And...
