I have been utterly disappointed with uBreakiFix at every step of the process. When I scheduled my appointment to have the cracked screen on my 13' MacBook Pro repaired, the associate verified that they could handle the repairs for the 2020 model. I dropped the device off on 12/3, and was notified 12/8 that the device was ready for pickup. After picking up the device I noticed that the screen was replaced with the wrong color, the camera no longer worked, and the backlit keys did not work. I brought the device back in on 12/9, at which point I was assured all issues would be rectified. I did not hear back from uBreakiFix until 12/16, at which point they notified me that the device was unrepairable. When I went to pick up the device they stated that "neither Apple nor the Distributor" made them aware of what would need to happen to fix the broken screen. And since they would not be able to progress with the repair, I would be given back my computer in the condition that it was when I dropped it off. The manager was not on site or available to speak to me about my repair, nor was he able to process my refund. Upon arriving home from the location, I was able to verify that I received my computer back in a condition that was, in fact, worse than I had dropped it off- since I now had a broken screen, a camera that didn't work, and the backlit keys were not functioning. I attempted twice to speak with corporate office about the issue and both times I was promised my feedback would be escalated to the appropriate person. I attempted to speak with someone a 3rd time, but was on hold for an hour. When I went into the location to have my refund processed, I asked to speak with a district manager and was told that I could not have their number, but they would let them know I wanted to speak with them. As of now, I have not heard from the corporate office or the district manager.
In the end, I had to take my computer to Apple for repairs. I received my computer back from Apple and they ended up replacing the Logic Board, the display, the Touch ID board, the Topcase, and a flex cable. My computer was dropped off at a uBreakiFix location to have a cracked screen repaired. I received it back with a cracked screen and needing to have the mother board (and additional items mentioned above) replaced. Every encounter I have had with a uBreakiFix associate has been filled with dishonesty, a lack of accountability, and general lack of care for customer satisfaction.
It has now been 3 weeks and I have yet to hear back from anyone...
Read moreSo I dropped my Xbox off for a simple HDMI port repair. Everything started out great. The employee took my information, was very courteous, and explained that it would be 3 to 4 days if they could fix it in-house, but if they had to send it out it would be ready by Monday at the latest. Today is Thursday. I have tried calling the manager for multiple days in a row. Yesterday I received no answer from anyone to multiple calls in the middle of the day, at two different times. When I finally did get someone on the telephone, he told me that he had no idea what was going on and that I would have to speak to the manager. He said that the manager is the only person that is able to give me details on my xbox. I asked him what time the manager would be in, and he told me 1:30 p.m. I waited until 4:30 p.m. and called the store. The employee that I spoke with informed me that the manager blew off his start time to the shift and called in the middle of the shift to call off of work. I was also told that this is commonplace for this manager to do so. I asked who the supervisor is, no one knows anything. I asked for an area manager, again no one knows. I asked if it was a franchise store, and they said yes. I asked him who the franchise owner was, and I was told "I don't know just some guy in Florida". I understand that in today's world customer service is rare. I am shocked by this level of indignance, though. I need an answer, and the only thing that anyone listens to these days are reviews online, so here we are. Maybe this will get a response, but I doubt it. I was told I have to keep calling in and hopefully the manager will show up at work someday and give me an update about my Xbox. Do not, I repeat do not expect any semblance of good service if you drop off your electronics...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible and unethical service. I dealt with an âemployeeâ named Niel. At first everything seemed okay and normal. He told me a price and and I time. The time was a complete lie. I just picked my equipment up today and it still wasnât finished or even started⌠it was supposed to be done 4 days ago. However the âwonderfulâ employee known as Niel was too busy helping the pretty woman who had just walked in. What about me who has been waiting for almost a week. They definitely DO NOT have a first come first serve reputation and seem to play a game of nepotism. Adding onto this when I decided to take my stuff back after this business neglected to fulfill their promise and withheld my equipment, the controlling Niel tried to dictate wether my equipment is worth repairing. He claimed it wasnât worth repairing and said I should buy the updated version. However I could buy a new piece of equipment for the same price as the repair so I might as well replace the disk drive and get a BRAND NEW one. Sadly what Niel didnât understand was how to communicate. He seemed to assume I had $600 to spare rather than the $120 I had allocated for repairs. Sorry Niel not everyone can ask their mommy for $600. Some people have to earn their stuff themselves. If he was just going to neglect to do his job and tell me I need to replace my equipment when it has one minor issue than Iâll Just replace the disk drive by myself. Very simple and easy repair. It sucks Niel had to over complicate things. Sadly no manager was on site so Niel can pick and choose wether this business makes...
