I got both traguses pierced. I recommend him for piercings. Michael was great from beginning to end. He was kind, made us feel at ease, detailed in explaining things, was quick and swift in his work to minimize pain, and did a nice job in the appearance of the piercing. Price included jewelry which made it comparable to other suggested rates.

Other reviews had concerns that were not my experience there: Michael greeted us kindly and promptly. He and other staff also greeted and welcomed other customers (one with a piercing concern, two walk in tattoos) while we were doing paper work. Michael was relaxed and walked me through the process and interacted with us in playful kind ways. I did see a review that he “put on gloves and then searched through all the drawers”…and that would have been my concern too IF my sister wasn’t there and saw him change his gloves a second time right before handling my ears and piercing…I missed it because my head was turned but she was on it (big sister style) and he was sanitary and thorough! I even instinctually touched the piercings after (don’t do it!) and he garbed up again to clean...

i’ve now had two bad experiences with the lakeland shop, i went to brandon for my first nose piercing and they were great but the lakeland shop is another level of terrible, my sisters and i were going to get tattoos for my youngest sister’s birthday, they said they don’t take appointments, fine, whatever, they just told us to come in whenever so we did. at that point they told us to call back in in a couple hours as they were busy at the moment. we did and they said to call back tomorrow, reiterating that they don’t take appointments. we didn’t bother at that point. most recently a couple days ago i went in to get my lip pierced, the people behind the counter stared at me and my friend and never even offered to help us. a couple of the guys back there were tattooing people but not all of them were, they were just talking to their coworkers. i waited for a solid ten minutes with no response before i turned to leave, and my friend asked if i wanted to at least schedule an appointment with them...

I gave it 2 stars because the place is great and my daughter has gotten piercings from here a couple of times. On her 18th birthday she wanted a father daughter tattoo. We came in got set up with Hector and gave him our idea of what we wanted. Hector designed a realistic child's hand holding an adults hand with the words like father under the hands on hers and like daughter on mine. My daughter's tattoo came out phenomenal he really did great work. When it came time for my arm it felt rushed and I have to constantly explain to people what my tattoo is because there is way to much shading and noone can really even tell what it is and it's nowhere near as beautiful as the 1 he did for my daughter. I tried to call him a few weeks later after it healed to ask for some touch up work, Hector told me on the phone that he was driving currently and he would call me back. He never called. I called the shop a couple of times and have gotten nowhere. Now it's been a few months...
