A few months ago I was browsing the bead area section. I enjoy looking around looking at the latest projects. I am a shopper that spends no less than $80.00 or more. I am new to beading and I stayed in that section the longest. I had many questions to ask an associate and not a soul was near. I was browsing the Swarovski crystals all locked up. I get down very low to see items that were hard for me to see. I examined the items I thought would work for my project. The package of all the beads secured with locks on them. I was thinking of how sad I felt because of the low supply of the most beautiful beads in the store. Still waiting for an associate to pass by and no one near to ask about the beads. I moved to the next beading isle and I liked a lot of those. Heading for small containers the manager and I almost bump into each other. I see here there all the time and I said "hello, I am happy to see you. I need help in the beading ". She said in a Sharpe tone " I need you to put your beads back ". Confused I ask her why, and she said to me she was watching me on camera and saw me take a bunch of Swarovski crystals and she wants them. I was a little shocked by her saying that about me and I got my phone out and told her you better be sure I have them or will call the police right here and now so they can look at the camera themselves. I showed her that it was impossible for me to take beads from racks with locks. She viewed the contents. I asked is she absolutely sure it was me, she said my red coat and part of my hair was seen. I was the only one in the isle with that description. I turn to look away from her and another person wearing a red sweater and hair short is standing there browsing beads. I told her again shall I call the police to make sure that you are absolutely sure I took beads or did she? I showed her the lady in the red sweater. I felt sick to my stomach. Uncomfortable. I thought she was just doing her job as I made it to pay for my items. People make mistakes all the time and thought to let it go, until I met with the girl at the register. Not one word from her to me. I said hi, can you help me get the coupon off my new phone and she said no, I can't do that. She clearly knew about the manager and I. What is really upsetting me is the manager should have cleared me from taking beads I didn't take. This was the worst Shopping experience in my life. To make matters worse I payed another visit to shop there. No one to help me and I wanted to get in and out. I found one annoyed employee to ask about beading tools. She said she didn't know and was ready to run off. I asked her if anyone else in the store can help me, annoyed again she uses her talking device and they said no one knows about beading tools. I asked her about glow paint she points 3 isles down and tries to run off and when I called her back to show me she was annoyed there as well. I have been shopping there since it opened. My favorite place, comfortable place and it is not comfortable for me anymore. I am going to write the corporate office and share my last few Shopping experiences with them. I hope changes can be made. This location is in the...
Read moreI was in this Michaels yesterday around 3 or 4pm. I went to the Custom Framing area in the back of the store. I have professional photos of my families military homecoming from my husband coming home from Afghanistan...I wanted to get a shadow box and get the frame I wanted and make a collage of the photos to display in my dining room. I have NEVER been so angry with someone in Customer Service! I have never done custom framing before and I let her know that I asked for suggestions from her all she did was star at my photos saying she did't know how to put it in the computer and she did'nt give me a quote. She was discouraging the sell because she seemed to not want to do her own job. She was saying" I'm letting you know right now it will be a couple hundred dollars" I said that was fine. I was there for 20 mins with her basically standing around doing nothing and just being rude like I was a inconveinence to her. there are people in this area needing jobs and I don't understand why she is still there. the lady in front of me also seemed upset with her. Michaels is great but they need better customer service and people willing to...
Read moreI have visited this Michaels a couple of times. The two last times I’ve had weird experiences. Once for an activity (slime) with my niece in which the craft teacher seemed indifferent to us being there. I thought maybe because it was a free activity and they’re only a couple children she just didn’t want to make the effort. The last time was this summer I was looking for clearance items and wandered around the store to every section. Upon doing so a worker saw me and a made a comment on her walkie talkie, a few minutes later I realized I was being followed by two men. Now I’ve seen this happen to people before and have worked in retail about 20 years ago. However, I was still shocked and very uncomfortable so I did any passive aggressive person would do, asked one of the men for help! I think was shocked at my boldness and the fact that I had been wandering all over the store with my hands full off items, and no one offered to...
