I love this store. Pretty much have loved all Ross stores in any state, that I have visited that has one. This particular store has a great staff trying their best. I almost don't want to bring this up, but I'll regret it if I don't mention this. I am so sick of people stealing. Especially when they do it in broad daylight. In my experience, people who steal in the daylight tend to be the most dangerous if someone tries to apprehend them. They are willing to have their face out i. The open, they are probably willing to do something awful to get away. The reason I bring this up, is as I was pulling into Ross yesterday, I watch two men, quickly push through the doors with armloads of merchandise. The alarms inside the building were going off, as well as all the alarma sttached to the clothing they were stealing. I am pretty sure their getaway car was stolen as well. I am posting some pics. If you recognize them feel free to report them. Daytime theives have no regard for the safety of others. A huge part of living in and maintaining a good community is being able to have the courage to remove the garbage from our streets. Other than that, my shopping trip was great. Also, I hadn't realized Ross sold so many other things besides clothes. All the way in the back they have a great selection of kitchen utensils, pet supplies, furniture, frames, organizing stuff and lots more.

Im giving 4 stars because i love shopping here but today was very weird and made me consider not coming back. The secret shoppers are so terrible at their job and made me SO uncomfortable. One of them was literally following me while digging in his pockets. I understand protecting the store but god damn, at least have them push a cart with stuff in it to look a little realistic. I spend GOOD money at this location so to be followed and stared at like I couldn’t afford what I had in my basket is crazy. He tried too look ā€œtoo normal ā€œ and made himself stand out. I spoke with another customer in the store who found him weird as well.

This store needs a massive attention from someone who can really change the store was running ..I was on the line together with 14 other customers , for almost 43 minutes cause we are waiting for just one cashier who was flirting with the "security -loss something " that is horrible !! Either they need to hire more responsible cashier or whoever is the lead that is on the store , needs to manage his/ her cashiers .. There us no social distancing for anyone cause we are all annoyed for being in the line for so long .. And it is really messy .. I just came for two items , but stayed for a long long time 😄😄😄😄so frustrating

This Ross has always been on a slow decline, but within the last year it has been rapid. None of the employees have a work ethic snd are the least personable people imaginable. Almost like they employed them that way on purpose. First off, their ā€œsecurityā€ that does nothing but stand at the door all day, doesn’t even greet you. The whole point of being there is so that thieves know that they are seen and acknowledged, and someone knows their face and clothes. That is literally the job. But she’s just sitting there playing on her Apple Watch. This store is lazy. They close the dressing room an entire HOUR early. The majority of people are here for clothes. Closing an essential function of a business an hour early is ridiculous. Not to mention the lady in the back that clearly did not want to talk to any customers said the front could hold it until tomorrow since it was closed. After four times of repeating myself to the cashier up front, she says no she can’t. So I leave for a bit to put some things back so I can buy them and return them tomorrow. I walk back up, a different cashier starts walking up, and asks me if I’m paying with card. I said yes and she goes, ā€œdo you wanna try self check-outā€ā€¦ I’m the only one in the line; she’s doing nothing, nobody else is doing anything, and she wanted to keep it that way I guess. I Didn’t wanna deal with her anyway so just said sure and went to self check out. Again, I am the ONLY ONE in this self check out line. Their loss prevention watches me scan 4 items, pay for them, grab my receipt. I put it in my wallet, because I know I’m going to need it, bro watches me do that as I’m walking over to him, zip it up, and put my wallet away. After already doing the first tag he goes, I have to see your receipt. Are you serious lmao? Just every single aspect about this Ross is horrid. It needs to be uprooted and replanted and literally an entire new set of employees. I’ve worked service jobs my entire life, this...

Just like the Ross in Central Tacoma, loss prevention exceeds standard protocol to the point you feel like you’re being accused of shoplifting just to exit the store after purchase. After you make your purchase at the register or kiosk, the loss prevention guy goes through your bag and inspects each item against your receipt and then remove security tags one by one. What are the cameras for? Or better yet do you not trust the integrity of your cashiers? Because they are the ones ringing things up and placing them in the bags at the register. As far as the kiosk checkouts are directly right in front of loss prevention to the point you can basically have a conversation with him because he’s standing right there watching you scan. Does he not trust his own eyes the first time? Can you imagine spending your hard earned money just to be subjected to criminal accusations simply because the store doesn’t have great security measures in place for the few that do. Now you treat every single customer like a potential suspect? Well that’s what shopping at Ross in Lakewood feels like. It’s really disheartening because this location has some of the better selections and deals I’d say in Pierce county. Unfortunately, like much of Pierce county, punishment for retail theft is so weak the only way Ross can do business is to treat every single customer that walks in/out the door like suspected shoplifter. Unfortunately, the experience at this Ross has been so offensive, I plan on just making the 1.5drive-2.0drive to the Lynwood or Redmond Ross, where they have great selection, great prices as well as great customer experience, because, the convict treatment for all in Lakewood and Tacoma isn’t the...

pt1. was just physically assaulted by an aggressive employee. at the lakewood town center location. the store hours say open till 11pm. The staff is always shutting down early regardless of the amount of employees they have on staff. I shop at this store a few times a week and they always do this type of thing. i came in at 10:15 because the online store hours say till 11pm and the sign on the door says it is open to 11pm in big red writing. but 10 minutes later i hear an announcement t that they were closing early. The announcement is pretty unprofessional sounding by this juvenile employee who has a very agressive demeanor while at work. this is not the first time i’ve seen this employee acting like some hot head because he wants to be a store hero of some sort. AND I get it, this is a store of employees who have safety issues with theft and unruly customers. i have been shopping at this ross location for over 10 years and at ross stores in general for over 30 years. Tonight i was going to pay for some items a few minutes after the announcement was madethat the store will not be open till 11pm.and everyone should hurry up and go pay for their stuff. it was the aggressive employee who always manages to say ā€œhave a blessed night ā€œ as if that statement seemed genuine . Not to mention you don’t pretend to act like your giving spiritual advice because it sounds proper and then use foul Language against customers and physically assault them. as i was leaving to go pay this employee sees me and says ā€œhey my man, we’re closing early & so i was going to need to go pay and leave.

Pt 2 on HarrisonLeach for...
