update: a few months later I came to eat at this place again. Today is 10-12-18 and the employees still work VERY slow! How. How does it take them so long to do everything I can’t understand it but the line was so long people were leaving, we were 3rd in line and waited 25 minutes to get attended. Again, how?! Ugh I was so irritated and so were other people! Not coming back unless it’s empty. Also the food wasn’t as good this time around. The potato tacos were bland, and so were the salsas. The burrito was good tho. They need to work on their customer service and faster service! deducted 1 Star. My previous review had 4. Sorry.

This place is amazing. I'm Hispanic. I grew up in Mexico for the majority of my life. I know Mexican food, and when I arrived in Washington I knew I was gonna suffer. Thankfully I know how to cook most Mexican dishes but once in a while I wanna go out and enjoy my food being cooked for me. I tried 2 potato tacos and they were absolutely delicious, my grandma used to make some for me and these tasted similar except my grandmother adds cumin. I also ordered a total and the rice and beans taste very authentic and even though real Mexicans don't add rice to their tortas these were still very good! I will recommend this place to anyone craving Mexican food! I had to give it 4 stars for the reason that the employees look out of it lol they work VERY slow. And they just look at you waiting for you to say something, but shouldn't it be the other way around? That was my first time here and I didn't know how to order, but it's like Chipotle where you tell them what you want and the toppings you want. Other than the long waiting slow workers the food is great! (I personally didn't like the tortilla...

Went in with 3 friends to get dinner before a movie. I ordered my food first, and it got brought to my table after all of my friend who ordered behind me by a considerable margin. I did not complain, and accepted an apology for the wait time. I ordered a surf and turf burrito. Ate through about 35 percent of it and realized it did not have shrimp that it was supposed to have. Brought it to the staff and was told, they forgot to put shrimp in one earlier that day and “there was no way I did that twice today”. They then made me tear open the entire burrito to prove to them it was missing the shrimp. After determining it wasn’t there after about 5 minutes of assuring them it wasn’t, they said they’d remake it for me. The first one took quite long enough, my friends had already finished eating at this point and I had a movie to catch. I asked if a refund for just the burrito, not my other items was an option. I was told they would have to ask a manager. They went in to the back and claimed to call a manager about this and came back to tell me because I’d eaten “half” of the burrito already, I would not be given a refund. I absolutely did not eat half, and the reason any of it was eaten was because I ordered it and began eating with no way to know it was missing an ingredient. To have two staff members tell me they know it’s in there, and make me tear apart a hot burrito to prove it is absolutely next level unprofessional. I don’t like complaining, and didn’t complain when the food took a long time to be made, but this was just totally rude and unacceptable. Not going to give my...

We decided to give Chronic Tacos catering service a try. Had to feed the whole store (upward around 80 staff), wanted something simple and tasty. When I called I had questions (the website isn't very forthcoming on the catering side) and wanted to make sure I wasn't calling at a bad time. I was assured it was a good time, and the gentleman on the phone (Manager: Zaden) was extremely patient. I say patient, because I kept forgetting or would re ask a question he already answered. Never irritated, and was a true delight. He even laughed at my bad jokes. I called well in advance of the date, and I had several conversations with Zaden as I waited for final details etc. He gave me his cell number so if I had any questions or changes I could reach him directly...any time. THAT is dedication. The day of the event the owner personally brought the catering and set everything up. Everything was included. Buffet sets to keep everything warm, and elevated off the table a more than sufficient amount of sides such as guac (two 1/2 pans!!) pico, cheese, sour cream etc. - nobody ever gives you enough of that stuff! - plates, napkins (so many napkins) utensils, serving utensils. Everything you should bring when you cater an event, but, as I have found out the hard way, not all smaller restaurants understand. They want to do catering, but don't seem to get it. They get it. This "review" is more of an open letter Thank You to the Zaden and the Chronic Taco team! Your great food, even better service made our lunch a huge hit. We will be catering...

I really wanted to give this place a try, and today was the best opportunity to finally do it. My wife and I went in and ordered practically the same thing, but with a couple of different items that I just don't eat, she loves black beans, and I enjoy refried pinto beans. My wife won't eat anything stronger than black pepper, and I like to sweat fire, but here it was too much of one thing, and too little of another. My wife got carnitas tacos, and the meat was spot on. Mine, on the other hand, was Carne Asada tacos and they were over seasoned, just too salty and dry. The black beans were good from what my wife said, but my refried beans had way too much cumin, and it gave the beans a flat taste. The rice was just basic. This is based on how our experience was, and it may be different than the next person, and I'm definitely not trying to make a decision based on what I had to say. Try it for yourselves, and you be the judge.. I will say that the portions are decent and worth the money

I don't have any pictures of the food because we ate it so fast. My boys all have different tastes so I tried to get a variety of items. We ordered the Chronic Fries with pretty much everything on it and the Al Pastor (my favorite). Also, the fish taco Baja style, potato taco with recommended toppings, a couple steak tacos, chicken bowl-rito, and steak nachos carefully topped for an eight-year-old (no tomatoes, please!) Everything was hot and the ingredients were fresh. The employees were very patient with my indecisive gang, and that is most appreciated. We all shared the food and gave each one two thumbs up. But the fish and potato tacos were clear favorites.

I had high hopes for this place as I’ve seen them in other states and finally stopped in to eat. Boy was I disappointed, I’ll start off with the good. They have beer and the price point is good. Now the bad; “carne asada taco” is actually more like barbacoa or shredded beef, while they taste good they are not carne asada. Chicken asada was pretty plain. Mexican rice was terrible, refried beans were very plain, no taste at all. “Street corn” aka elote was good but corn was pretty soggy. Staff was very nice but definitely need to work on keeping the business cleaner.
