Quality Worth the Wait: Firehouse Subs Lakewood
If you're looking for a memorable experience marked by satisfying food and friendly staff, Firehouse Subs in Lakewood delivers. Their commitment to offering an impressive variety of well-crafted sandwiches, truly makes this place a standout among the crowd. However, the lengthy wait time precludes me from awarding it a full five-star rating.
Letās talk about the food, the real star of the show. The menu is full of hearty subs that leave you feeling more than satisfied. My personal favorite is the New York Steamer, a mouthwatering combination of corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone, mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing. The bread is toasted to perfection, and the fillings are fresh and plentiful.
However, where Firehouse Subs in Lakewood fell short was in the realm of wait time. On my visit, I was informed of a 25-30 minute wait for my order, which I was more than willing to endure for the delicious fare I was about to partake in. Regrettably, the wait time extended to just under 50 minutes. While I understand that sometimes a busy day or unexpected circumstances can lead to longer waits, this was a significant overshoot of the initial estimate.
Despite the long wait, the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere made up for the inconvenience. The subs were well worth the wait, and the staff's polite and apologetic manner regarding the delay softened the blow.
In conclusion, I give Firehouse Subs in Lakewood a solid four-star rating. The exceptional food, hospitable atmosphere, and commendable staff are the key highlights that bring this score up. However, the improvement in the execution of order wait times is a necessary adjustment for an even better experience in the future.
I'd certainly recommend giving them a try if you're not in a rush and are in the mood for an excellent sub. Here's to hoping the wait time issue will be sorted out soon, and I'll be able to grant them the fifth star they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreT-mobile sent out a BOGO deal for Firehouse Subs which gives me a chance to try this franchise out as I have heard good things about them. My boyfriend and I made our order and it was pretty much made almost on time. They seemed to have a few online orders as well as in-person orders as there were a few people dining in and some waiting for their order. The inside was clean with plenty of tables and chairs for people to sit at to eat their food or wait. There was firefighter suit and equipment near the entrance which I thought was fitting. The staff here were friendly and professional, they would greet anyone who came in.
We got the medium hook and ladder which was really good. I asked for extra lettuce, tomatoes, and onions but I feel like only the onions were extra as it looked the same as my boyfriend's which had no customizations. I love the careful construction of the sandwich as it didn't fall apart like Subway sandwiches. I also appreciate the hot sauce bar and it has changed my perspective of hot sauce on sandwiches which now I will be doing too! My boyfriend was also very impressed and even tempted to get another sandwich as he wanted to try one of the other sandwiches as he loved his so much.
Now the issue with this experience was that I threw up and I had nothing else that day except this sandwich. I'm concerned if the quality of the vegetables or maybe the hot sauce caused this. I did voice my concerns to Firehouse Subs and they said they would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time visiting to purchase food for myself. I thought why not take a shot and see if the food is good.
It took me a bit to figure out what I wanted, because I wasnāt familiar with the menu. Stuck with simple ingredients, the meat, tomatoes and mayo. I was really surprised to see that the sub charge was over $12-13 For just the sandwich because I received only about 7 dollars back. Still donāt know what they truly are in cost. But the sandwich was large so I can say you get a lot.
I live about 2 exits away from the location. I bit into the sandwich which was closed up for maybe less then 10 minutes and the bottom was so soggy. It was really hard to get through it, ended up dismantling half of it and putting it on the top of the bread with the meats and disposed of the rest, super bummed but what else could have been done, pretty much the rest was unsalvageable.
The plus side is that it was nice to see decorations of my fellow field comrades that I work along side with at times and the other fire departments. That they make donations to them as well.
Visit was a bust, maybe it was in the box too long before I got it... store wasnāt busy and it took at least 10 minutes or more after I placed my order to...
