Today I decided to try out this target near where my other errands were. Well I entered & went back to the pajama section, I picked up a few items and then made my way over to the toddler section. Well I noticed 2 men watching me from a distance. I worked in retail for 6 years so I figured it was the under cover loss prevention team. I made my way over to the nail polish & noticed that the 2 men had followed me. I thought it was weird so I decided to try & loose them, to see if they were specifically following me. Turns out that they were. I’d look directly at them & they’d look directly up at the sky. Well I went over to the card aisle on the other side of the store, thinking I’d buy my last item & loose the 2 men. I looked up & they were standing in the electronics area staring at me. At this point I was feeling very uncomfortable and not safe in this store. I went to the self checkout area & they didn’t stop watching me until I inserted my card into the machine. Well by that time I was furious & asked for a manager. I would have spoken to the 2 men, but they disappeared. I spoke with nick & discussed my frustration. I was extremely frustrated that I was not given the names of the 2 men! I am a 28 year old Hispanic woman. The fact that I didn’t feel safe inside of a store that I frequent weekly makes me very sad. I’m not sure if I was being watched because of my race or if I looked “suspicious” in their minds, but following a woman around for over 20 minutes is not okay. I understand monitoring, but it is NOT ok to Stalk a woman who’s just shopping. My fiancé and I were going to do our wedding registry at target, but that is not option any longer. I will not be returning to target anytime soon & I will NEVER return to this store. I’m highly hurt & very upset with what happened today. I am making sure to tell my friends & family so that they are aware of how target thinks it’s ok to employ men like this. I even offered for the store manager to check my purse & bags. I had absolutely nothing to hide & I was treated...
Read moreMy friend and I went to this Target in the Colorado Mills mall. We were in the store for approximately 15 minutes when they announced on the overhead speaker that they were closing the entrance to the mall. No prior announcements were made while we were in the store. I called my friend to meet me at the mall entrance so we could leave because our vehicle was on the other side of the mall. We made our way to the mall entrance, I got there first, and Samual Finch the closing manager was in the process of closing the entrance. I let Samual know that my friend was on her way over from the other side of the store, and that we needed to exit through this entrance since we were parked on the opposite side of the mall. It is snowing and the sidewalks have not been shoveled yet. Samual proceeded to tell me while the door is closing "You can leave if you can make it" which is a safely hazard? He stopped closing the gate and I reiterated that she would be there in less than a minute. He closes the door while I clearly point out that my friend is is view rushing over so that we can leave to avoid walking in the snow. Samual chuckled when we had further conversation about the principle of customer service and the fact that he was quite literally forcing us to walk around the mall in poor weather conditions. I have never written a poor review in my life, but this experience was the worst customer service I have ever had. I have worked in retail for 10+ years and this is the epitome of a terrible customer experience. Please watch your cameras and you can verify this encounter with Samual. You could have waited 45 seconds to let us through the mall entrance in the middle of a snowstorm so we could avoid walking around the entire mall, but instead you chose to move forward with a sexist power play against two women, while clearly customers were still walking through the...
Read moreI go to this Target often because it is near my office and the easiest place to get basic things on my lunch break. It's generally pretty busy, so I understand that waiting in line is bound to happen, but wasn't expecting the terrible service I received today.
I went to the pharmacy to get some more Claritin-D (allergy medicine that is stored behind the counter), which usually takes about two minutes to ring up. When I walked up to the counter, all of the three pharmacy techs looked up and saw me, but none of them acknowledged me. While standing there waiting for them to come over to me, another woman who had been filling out paperwork at the other end of the counter cut in front of me, and one of the pharmacy techs rushed to assist her. She then had to add additional items to her paperwork, and finally walked away after 3-4 minutes. The tech walked away without once acknowledging me, not even to say, "Let me take care of this and I'll be right with you."
While this was happening, one of the managers walked by and asked if he needed help while yelling into her walkie-talkie that there was "only one person" in line at Pharmacy (referring to me). Not even she actually spoke to me., but she did have a conversation with the tech assisting the other woman. The other two studiously ignored me as well.
I walked away and went to purchase a few other things. When I asked to speak with a manager about the whole thing, it was the same one who'd been back at the Pharmacy while I was there, and she just gave excuses and said she'd tell the "appropriate manager".
I won't be back at this Target - there are plenty of others between my home and office, and my errands can generally wait...
