I've been visiting this store (and other branches) for years with my roommate and friend with 0 issues. Today, management decided to change that by being incredibly rude to us. This was especially the case with an older lady who kept following us and talking to us in a few condescending way. We understand policies will change at random which we weren't aware of (mainly the checkout being changed to 15 items or less), but the woman failed to tell us until my friend was well into scanning her items. Of course, she had to grab her items and put it into her bags (to separate it from my roommate and my food). But this didn't stop the woman from barking at us to go to a cash register and it's 15 items or less over and over again. When we finally did move to a cash register, this seemed to be an issue for her as well as she grabbed another cashier and aggressively kept telling us to go to the other cashier to pay. We already were uncomfortable with the situation and were simply trying to not cause further issues. However, she would not let up which resulted in us having to tell her we were okay in our current spot. This seemed to anger her, but she dropped it and left. However, my friend informed us she was glaring at us while we were in line. We never argued nor displayed any aggression to the staff as we followed their rules and only politely told them we weren't comfortable moving. We understand times are changing in which theft is high, but that doesn't give the staff the right to discriminate to paying customers just because we look a certain way to them. Do better, because this was one of my favorite grocery stores to shop in the entire city. Now I'm afraid I'll be going to El Paso for my produce, because this treatment was embarrassing to this store and their staff.
P.S. Check your produce more often. We found countless moldy strawberries, raspberries, grapes, and...

Read more15 years of coming here religiously was ruined by the employee at self checkout with white curly hair. Out of my entire basket I had mistakingly hit 2 doughnuts instead of 4. She came up took everything out and was trying to match each barcode to each thing on the screen. Total waste of my time over 2 doughnuts that she was so concerned I was stealing. I demanded to just be taken to a real checkout person cause she was taking way to long and obviously didn't know what she was doing as she kept asking me why she didn't see 18 pack hot Cheetos mini bags but she was seeing 18 Cheetos bag. Like come on lady I don't come up with the wording after things are scanned. My bad I hit 2 instead of 4 doughnuts, that employee could use training from Socorro on how to approach those type of situations, with a bid of professionalism. Just cause I'm focused on my life and I hit a wrong number when I'm quickly trying to get through a checkout for a 50 cent dognut you don't have to treat me like a thief. But yeah now I'm never going to come here again after that embarrassing circus she...
