Going into MMJ's Pawn it seemed like any other pawn shop. I pawned my Flat screen here about a month ago and dropping it off everything seemed fine, they gave me my $40 and I was on my way. I came back a little less then a month later to pick up my Flat Screen and that's where MULTIPLE problems occurred. I came in and handed the man my ID to look up my account and gave him my debit card, apparently debit cards aren't accepted when paying for a pawned item. This is fine it would just be nice if this was told to me when I dropped off my TV that you can only use CASH to pick up. I left got the cash and came back, my money was happily taken and the gentlemen left to go get my television. After 15 minutes of waiting and two associates looking for my television they told me to go back there and look for it because they couldn't find it!!! what kind of business loses a giant flat screen TV?? anyway, finally find my TV which was brand new when dropped off and now has duct tape residue all over the screen AND I asked where my controller was and they said "are you sure you even had a controller??" umm... obviously! You guys don't take TVs without controllers! So now were hunting for my controller. The guy says he finds it and its IN PEICES! They had to tape it together, a controller I hadn't even used! Anyway my TV was left there for three weeks and it was damaged from tape and who knows what along with my now broken controller. The only response they had for me was "Were not liable for any damage." Well, that's awesome, I didn't ask, but thanks for letting me know! Thanks for not giving a damn and breaking my things without a simple "sorry" or even acting like you care.
NEVER GO HERE!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF DAMAGED! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! HORRIBLE PLACE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Better luck going...
Read moreI am currently looking for an honest shop that sells silver and gold, yet after reading the reviews I can definitively say MMJ will not be a choice. Irony is, pawn shops originally were highly trusted merchants of their community. because that, before banks were commonplace, people would do business such as monetary loans either by trade, collateral loans and after time of establishing report' with the owners would sign for loans at a reasonable percentage rate. It's undeniably true pawn shops today are all reputedly morally corrupt and viewed only as last resort for trade or immediate sale and loans for items of value. Again the reviews alone confirm this to be true, 1 or 2 bad reviews don't make a business bad, because everyone has bad days. Yet I digress to the numerous 1 star and consistent reviews of reported unethical business practices that are shown to be standard daily operating practices within MMJ Pawn. And blaming poor business practices on clientele is like a medical doctor blaming people for being sick or injured. It takes a long time of excellent business alliances with customers, who will give recent 4-5 star reviews, and will return for a legitimately honest place of business, then profits truly increase and business grows, and its ok to ask for a great review, but don't be surprised when you receive bad reviews for your bad behavior. I wish you all the best in your...
Read moreI fail to see what some of these negative ads are all about! I have been treated so well by Adam and his crew, that my experience has always been excellent. They are polite and know what they are doing. If someone brings in something that is not legit, they are sent out the door, or better yet, check how they caught some thieves in Las Cruces on this web site. They take care to insure that your stuff will be fine, and tape it all up, sometimes using their own boxes. When you get it back, it's all there, and they make sure you look and agree that it is all there. Very honest. I have been to a lot of pawn shops, and some of them are not this honest, I assure you. So if you need their services, do not worry. Adam will take care of you...
