Absolutely horrible experience. I donât know why I bother to walk into Kohls anymore. Other folks must feel the same way because there wasnât many people there.
I had to reinstall the kohls app on my phone while I was there walking around. An old kohls credit card that I havenât used in years magically popped up on the app. I went to the service counter and asked them if they could check to verify that this old card is still closed. They told me they were sorry they couldnât help me with that. I would need to go online to see if itâs closed, but theyâd be happy to help me open up a new card.
The other horrible experience was when I tried to use the 20% off friends and family coupon. The coupon doesnât work on any name brand items. Just about everything stocked in the store is name brand, so the coupon is useless. I walked out of the store without buying anything. I donât want to come back.
The store has bad vibes. All of the walls are bare. They donât use the walls for displaying product anymore. It makes the entire store feel so empty. Is kohls going bankrupt just like Bed Bath and Beyond? It feels...
Read moreThis store is why people are not shopping locally anymore and buying on Amazon. Please note... I hate giving Jeff anymore business but the customer service at this particular Kohl's is why I shop online. We were in the store looking for towels for our new bathrooms. We wanted to buy for 4 new bathrooms. The girl on the floor was ZERO help and suggested that we go to front and ask for a manger... she had folding to do. There was a bundle of towels that didn't have a UPC and her suggestion was that I take it to the front of the store and ask for someone else. One star is sort of harsh but why would I go back when we're probably not going back except for returns (Amazon returns). Customer service is really the only reason to shop locally. Too bad that the employees don't understand who ultimately provides their paycheck. The bulk of what this store sells you can buy online from hundreds of suppliers. Poor customer service is killing local businesses... so I guess one star...
Read moreThe girls up front need some serious training on customer service etiquette. One was playing on her phone and the other was folding clothes. I asked a question and both ignored me. When I re-asked they both said "oh, I thought you were talking to her" referring to the other. The one playing on her phone gave me an I don't know the answer to your question response and kept playing on her phone. I just left after that.
Also, the fitting rooms are closed. I do not live near a Kohl's and can not easily return clothes when they do not fit. It doesn't take much to wipe down a fitting room every hour or so and Texas is back at full capacity so I'm unsure of why they would still have them closed. What benefit does it provide when you are accepting returns anyways? It's the same result with extra steps and lots of extra time. I might revisit this Kohl's in the future but it will definitely be when fitting rooms are...
