I went into Walmart this afternoon very reluctantly because I have horrible social anxiety, but I needed a couple of items that couldn't wait. (I had spent a bit of time searching for the items I wanted and for the lowest cost, only Walmart was my friend.) I used the app in the parking lot to look up the items general location by aisle. I needed 3 things. I got set and went in. All was fine and dandy until one of the items did not list the type of batteries required. I knew it needed batteries. The size was listed NO WHERE on the box. I couldn't read it on any of the device sides because, of course, the back wasn't showing. Walmart was full and I was about to start freaking out. So many people and not one who could tell me what size I needed without breaking open the box. I went to a young lady working on the general merchandise side, manning the self-checkouts. (Gazelle, btw, I asked.) I explained the situation and that I couldn't find the information without damaging the box. (Y'all I grew up when you broke it you bought it was beat into kids.) She looked over the item and after coming to the same conclusion she gave me the okay. I opened it, got the size from the instructions, NEEDED TO BUY batteries that I was able to grab, and all was well and swell.
I had to tell you all of that because a couple of years ago, at the La Marque Walmart pharmacy, I had the same problem. Different item. Same thing, except I was sick. I was buying it regardless I just wanted to know something first so I could adjust my purchase. 3 different people in the store, including a manager, refused to help me out.
Gazelle, without knowing any of that, was kind and courteous. She expressed understanding of my problem and worked with me to solve it. I was moved by her compassion and although she didn't know it, I was about to spaz out and just drop everything and leave. So thank you, Gazelle. You reminded me why I drive 15 minutes away instead of 5 to get...
Read moreI like going to Walmart but here lately I am so confused with the 60 count eggs price. Here me out. Over month ago I went and tried to buy eggs the were $18 dollars, so went to kroger for $11.99. Then towards the end of the month the eggs were $10.99 so I bought them from Walmart. Because it is one shop and done. However, TWO weeks later the price went up to $19 and some change. What is going on really?( is this related to bird flu or not? Help me understand. I like having eggs on hand because I have young adults whom put eggs in their ramens or my favorite baking sweet treats and with high priced eggs that's...
Read moreIt's Walmart! Some are worse than others but this one is decent! Yes, things are going to look like a large scale Ross store at times and yes Managers are none existent, until there's a major problem. However, at this location, they don't sell as many rotting foods as others do. Like in LaPorte/Texas City. Do not go to that location no matter what. The manager yells at customers and gets very confrontational as if he wants to fight them. It's the worst Walmart I've seen at any Walmart location anywhere and I've been to hundreds traveling in...
