There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for the staff here.

We have some personal events (weddings) coming up this summer and I told my wife I wanted to have a suit made…(my suit I had made for my wedding in 2017 was a disaster but that’s another story. But it left me not feeling very confident to dress up.)

My circumstances are different than the average person being that I am now in a wheel chair most of the time we go in public now…among a few other things I wanted to make the suit comfortable, sharp and practical for me.

I wanted something I could feel like me in and be comfortable but something that was versatile and timeless so I could feel good about wearing my this to any future events as well.

I was recommended Houndstooth by some others when I asked on Facebook for recommendations.

I called in early January and spoke to Amy. I told her what I was looking for…told her my situation of using a wheelchair as well…I also told her about my wedding suit and the horrific memories…but also about my visit to another suit place a few days earlier and how my wife and I felt like we were an afterthought for multiple reasons and how that made me as a consumer feel.

Amy was quick to put my worries to rest and let me know I should never be made to feel that way..I told her we would be in the following weekend to check the place out…

Little did I know was after she got off the phone with me, she proceeded to talk with Luke..told him the story and they started brainstorming right away.

I ended up coming in the next day just impromptu because we were out and about. Amy saw me and remembered speaking to me on the phone the day before…first walking into Houndstooth and looking around my wife and I knew this place would be different, we just didn’t know how great it was going to be.

Amy introduced us to Luke and we sat down right away and started talking. What am I dressing you for? What is the styles you like? What colors? What feel do you want?

Then he pulled out the books and showed us what he was thinking based on what we told him…I loved Luke’s ideas.

We made an appointment for a few weeks later to come in for the custom fit where I tried things on and got measurements, picked out the colors I wanted and was able to bounce ideas off of him while he “Drove the car”.

I was at a place where I felt heard and valued and my wants, needs and concerns were addressed…this was much more than selling a suit to Luke he wanted to make sure I loved the entire process…and I did.

We went in last week for the final fitting…and it’s like everything I wanted and then some. Luke and team made my vision come to life.

I told Luke I feel so much better than I did on my wedding day. I feel comfortable, and sharp and confident…but even more important…I feel like me.

I recommend this place to anyone. Also, as a wheel chair user I appreciate how easy it is to park and get into the shop and how spacious it is to move around in there in my chair.

Will definitely be going back for any of my suit and dressed up occasion needs!

My fiancé and I started our suit journey a couple months ago because we are getting married in September. We went to Houndstooth first because we had a very specific vision for what type of custom suit we wanted. Houndstooth was the first and last place we will go now for any type of custom suit we could ever need or want. Luke was who we worked with from start to finish and I couldn't recommend him enough.
