Run down, dingy, uninviting and poor representation of their advertising. My husband Owns a logistics company and we were passing through the state hauling some freight and noticed a trailer tire was losing air quickly. We pulled into this "truck stop" with "truck service center" and "air." I kind of joked about the exterior as we pulled up that they must have forgot to finish the remodel bc the place looked abandoned with all the boarded up siding but no signs or work areas marked off to show it was under construction. Needless to say, the air compressor didn't work. We drive around the side where the truck parking sign and the entrance to the truck service center were. The Bay doors were open so my husband went into the garage and found an employee. He asked if they had any air he could use or if they could service his tire. The old man started walking out of the garage and as he walked in the opposite direction of my husband, he stated they do have air that he can't get to right now and he's too busy to do it any way.
My expectations of the place were never very high and they actually came through with flying colors falling short of any real quality experience and personnel. The ONLY reason I'm posting this was bc the Google reviews had this place with 4 stars and some pretty great opinions. Either the small town people in the area support their local business or we just caught them on the wrong day of the...
Read moreThis place is a gem! An 'ol school truck stop which has gotten a magnificent face lift. Still many improvements seem to be taking place so I reckon this place will only improve. There is a large paved parking areas for semis, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly and polite.
Shout out to TRIS 😍, one of the lovely ladies employed here. She was courteous, polite, funny and friendly and guided me through the expansive menu which is full of wonderful home cooked dishes. The food was EXCELLENT!!!
As far as truckstops go; THIS ONE IS TOP-NOTCH!!!
Sorry beta boys, this place is not for you. You've already completely ruined the industry for the real men and women truckers by thinking your mothers work out here on the road and will wipe your asses and clean up your messes. Not to mention you inability to mind your own business.
Although the improvements throughout the years and ongoing are a drastic improvement from years gone by; I'm sure beta boys will find something to complain about and leave a very unnecessary "bad" review.
Real truckers??? Stop on in and help continue the wonderful traditions of the road by supporting...
Read moreI'm a driver, love the small diner type. Usually better food, prices, and service. Well, today was the 1st time ever I've been here. So here's my thoughts. The food was meeehhh. Had a philly, very little meat and bun was cold. Fried Okra, it wasn't the best, but it was ok. Price was good, 12$ for philly, fries, okra and coffee. Service, was outstanding! My waitress was not only beautiful and sweet, but quite sassy and attentive the the regulars whom visited here. My cup was NEVER EMPTY. Anyone whom knows me, that will aggrevating me to no end to sit and wait forever for a refill. This girl was on point. Not just to me. But to all she served in my presence. BTW her name was Marissa! ! I wouldn't only brag about her, the other 2 servers were just as attentive to their customers as well. Over all. I was pleased when I left. Great job !! I wish I could've brought her home to work where I usually eat. That'd been awesome !! Service made up for lack of meal quality, in...
