Update: We have now been coming here a month. We seriously can not show enough gratitude for Cliff and Nick and all the regulars. When I first started magic I spent the first two months getting pummeled by my friends, like turn three KO. Cliff and nick have both sat down and helped me and my wife build decks. They helped me build my first comander and helped us build our decks better. Building decks has been therapeutic for me it give my mind some thing to focus on other than my axiety and stress. I highly recommend it as coping tool 😂. Being new alot of places are not patient. Here people are kind and take time to teach you and help you understand from playing a card the wrong way to organizing lands better so you don't miss count they take time to teach you and help you. They also have a wide variety of cards you just have to sit down and put work into looking at the boxes which honestly I find to be fun. Looking at the old cards seeing their mechanics always gives me ideas for new decks to build. Which is a plus because building the decks is just as fun as playing to me. We can't thank Cliff, Nick, or the regulars enough for making magic a big tremendously fun part of our life!
My wife and I stopped in here because I needed a card for a cycling deck I was building. My cousin told me to stop in. They did not disappoint! Cliff is a hoot an a half he had us rolling with laughter and and provided us with world class customer service! My wife and I are relatively new to magic cliff helped us with understanding mechanics to some cards we where still learning about! His pre-built decks are fun to play for $5 you get a fun little deck. The mystery boxes are neat too. We ended up going back and getting 6 more for our friends. Cliff told us to put a 30 minute timer on, give every one a box and have them build a deck from it, then play. We had a blast! This was my first time buying magic cards here, in the past I've gone in for old console games, but man wow cliff has customers for life now! Hands down an amazing place! We...

Storytime: my wife and I had been interested for quite some time in learning to play this game. We just moved to the area and had stopped at another place (Heroes and Fantasies) and inquired. Cool place for other stuff, but the people at H&F didn't seem too interested in helping us out after trying to ask some basic questions about the game and they sold us a "beginner" set that actually turned out to be extremely complicated for a new player(The Speed vs Cunning set). We later discovered that each deck in the pack had multiple colors involved per deck, which is not something to hop into when you literally know nothing about the game. They also gave us incorrect info stating that a game mat was in another $10 supplemental set we purchased; there was no game mat. Money down the drain.
We stopped into Gamelot on a whim and asked about the game there. Cliff, the owner, brought out a promotional pack (free from the makers), asked us if we had about 30 minutes to learn to play, then sat down with us and explained everything while me and my wife played. Great experience. Went back again to ask more questions and another associate, Jay, played with us and explained even more. We have been back a few times and gotten the same level of help every time, even when they were super busy on gameplay days. We have been extremely satisfied ever since and have been going back often and are now hooked on the game. Every time, we learn something new and that's because everyone there is more than willing to help out. Gamelot has earned our loyalty and business for as long as we are here because of a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, awesome customer service, and great pricing and deals. Couldn't have asked for more. Looking forward to some tournament...
Read moreI was in the shop last friday with my wife (who is an avid magic player) and this obese man and his more obese son greeted me. As is natural, i greeted them back and so did my wife. They asked our names, and i told them, " My name is Mwah, and this is my wife Shaniise." The man (who i assumed was the owner) stared for a second and then went on to ask if i was "in the wrong neighborhood". I took extreme offense but pretended to laugh it off as i was sure he meant no harm. HOWEVER, he then went on to stare at my wife for an uncomfortable amount of time. We then went on to look at his card selection (which was slightly over mediocre, nothing in comparison to gamerz-pair-a-dice) and when i asked whether everything on the board was all he had, he stared at my for a second with a bad look and the said "Ohhhhh, because what i do for this community isn't enough eh? Well you know what? If it isn't enough then LEAVE and take your wife, who i doubt wants to be here anyways!" He looked as though he was about to pull a knife on me. So i did just that, i left. I would never, EVER, return to that racist scumbag that is an excuse...
