The Cosmetics Company Store — Local services in Lewes

This store has some great discounts, but be careful you don't get sucked into their bait and switch discounts.

Yesterday the sign said "40% off if you spend $100." Inside, the Clinique mositurizer was marked 25% off, but the cashier lead me to believe I'd get the 40% off that product (instead of 25%) if I spent the $100. I clarified with her several times to make sure I'd get that deal. So I bought an extra moisturizer and a couple of other items. It's my fault that I didn't pay close attention to the receipt before I walked out the door -- sure enough, I didn't get the extra discount on half of what I purchased, so what was the point? Of course, they are very clear on the receipt that everything is a final sale. I'm not going back.

The point is they take advantage of people with confusing discounts and poor lighting so you don't always get what you expect. This is especially crummy during the holiday season. Oh well -- I hope you are smarter than I was and don't let this...

The store was just renovated and has products that can be less than other stores around. The staff is great, always there to answer your questions/help with anything you need.

My wife and I went to the Rehoboth Beach location last Saturday and had a wonderful experience with April, the Sales Associate, that helped us that day. April was fantastic and just so welcoming. She took the time to answer our questions and provided suggestions for our needs. Also, I really appreciated her taking the time to get as the discounts and gifts that we were entitled to based on the amount of our purchases.
