Let’s talk about customer service for a moment shall we. Our photography company was in need of a custom-built computer to meet our growing needs. We paired up with The Computer Place in Lewiston hoping that they could do a little handholding during our PC building journey. We wanted to make sure that we did not spend a lot of money on an assembly that did not meet our demands in the end. I am more than pleased to share that we did not get a handholding experience with The Computer place – we instead got a full-fledged piggyback with all the care and attention that we greatly appreciated.

We ran our shopping list of parts by their team and they reviewed it very quickly adding their professional opinions along the way. The arrangement was that we were going to buy the parts and then delivery it to them to build. They had all the parts in their possession for less than a day and informed us it was already ready for pickup.

Their crew went above the call of duty in every way possible, including signing on remotely to insure that Windows, my graphics card and the overall system was up and running as it should be!

To boot, we were also in need of a monitor right away. They helped us decide on the best monitor for our needs and then arranged to have it delivery to our house. When we were told that it would be a few days before we saw our monitor, we started to get nervous. Afterall, we photograph wedding and sports in the fall and we could not afford to be without a system for even a day. Jon arranged for us to be setup with a monitor that very night so that we would not lose momentum during our busiest season – a few days later our permanent monitor arrived.

So did the entire process go smoothly? – for the most part yes, but there was some RAM compatibility issues with the motherboard I purchased. The Computer Place referenced my motherboard’s restrictions and then provided me with a recommendation for a RAM change. A change I have already ordered and will be installing in a few days.
