I had a very disappointing experience with Sammyâs jewelry service. I purchased a $3,000 Centenario with a âcustomizedâ bezel, but it turned out to be poorly made, with jewels falling out multiple times. Despite paying over $7,000 for the item, I had to bring it in repeatedly for repairs. Each time, I was charged additional fees, including $40 to shorten a $2,000 rope chainâsomething Iâve never experienced with other legitimate jewelry companies. To make matters worse, the Centenario eventually fell out of the bezel altogether. Upon inspection, I discovered that it had been glued in with superglue, which was both sloppy and unprofessional. The glue was visible and even had a green tint to it. I brought the piece to another dealer, and they were shocked by the poor craftsmanship. Additionally, I ordered a customized bracelet for my daughter, and the first letter (âJâ) was nearly invisible, due to careless work and improper alignment. I would not recommend this company to anyone. After my experience, I was able to get a new bezel elsewhere for half the price I paid for the âcustomizedâ one. I regret giving them my business and strongly caution...
Read moreI also had a horrible experience at the Arlington Mall location with the sales staff and Jay/JJ. I specifically asked before purchasing a diamond necklace for my wife if I could âreturnâ it if she didnât like it, because I wouldnât have bought it otherwise. Their response was simply âyesâ. It wasnât until after they charged my card that they told me, âno refunds, just exchangesâ and pointed at a small sign on the wall. They definitely withheld that information before they had my money when I specifically asked. I tried to return the necklace the next day anyways because it wasnât what my wife wanted, pointing out the fact that they lied and were deceitful. Of course they denied it. Jay said he would try and call me back in a couple of days, never heard from him. Called and left a message several times, nothing.
In addition, because I read all the negative reviews on this place AFTER the fact, I took it to a couple other jewelers to verify it was what they said it was. They said it was 14k gold when in fact it was 10k. Straight up lie.
This place will deceive you into purchasing and once they have your money they donât want anything to...
Read moreToday marks ONE month that I have been wearing my wedding band and half of the diamonds are already missing. Of course, I purchased the 5 year warranty, however, every time I go to get it repaired, the salesmen/women there are extremely pushy about me purchasing a new ring instead. They keep sending me home with my defective wedding band and telling me to just think about it. They sold me a piece of trash and expect me to spend even MORE money with them. My best advice is to just not shop there. I'm VERY disappointed! Update: 3 days late, my ring is FINALLY back from repair. When I picked it up just now, it is in the shape of an oval now, rather than a circle. The jewler was extremely rude and even called me a liar at one point. I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well as the Jewelry Ethics Commission. I have every intention of paying the fee to the JEC so that they will act on my complaint. I will update once everything...
