I travel a lot. I mean a lot and I hit quite a few Hilton properties. This one was very good. I'm gonna go through the short comings first because there are only a few.
First off as a business traveler I need a solid and fast Internet connection. I don't always want to be onsite or at the satellite office and work there. I would rather work on my laptop at the hotel in the comfort of my room.
The Internet speed at this particular hotel was okay but not for doing anything more than sending a few large files and watching YouTube in 720p. Don't get me wrong but you're not going to be gaming with this 5mbs speed max. You do have the option to buy $5 a day higher speeds up to 15mbs but from my experience it still isn't enough for streaming games. Don't waste your money.
Breakfast was mediocre but it's free. So you get what you don't pay for? I've had better. Maybe the breakfast person didn't know not to burn the "already cooked omelette"... And the potatoes, though having a hint of rosemary, were just bland and maybe too long in the steamer. Your best bet is the carbs. Waffles are always a hit.
The room (I had a king size bed in a mobility friendly room) that means wheelchair friendly room ya dorks! 🤣 Actually very spacious and comfortable! I've attached pics of the room. 2 huge windows in the southern side with black-out shades just in case you don't want the sun to wake you up.
Shower was adequate although the water didn't get super hot like I like it (maybe that's a mobility temp policy for hotels and their insurance) but it was still warm enough and the pressure was fine. The AC/heat worked well (it was super cold at the time; 17° at night and only 26° during the day.)
Toilet was a bit wobbly. Not sure what was going on there but they are higher seats in these kinds of rooms I think and if people would stop dancing on them.... 🤷
Sink/s and refrigerator worked well. TV display was a 61" screen; perfect for the size of the room and way better than most nonsense 49" in most other Hampton Inns I've been in.
Service and night staff was very friendly and helpful when you needed info on the area and where what to do and get. Day shift was also very nice albeit a bit vocal about their politics even though not one had asked.
The location is great for my work proximity relaxation after. Probably at least 10 restaurants within 1 mile of the place and a movie theater to boot.
Parking is free. And there is a Walmart 10min driving from the hotel.
9/10 would...
Read moreUpdated 2.7.24 - I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have charged my personal card for 2 nights stays, they charged my business card for a “no show” even though I showed up, and after filing with the BBB, they now charged my corporate card for 2 nights.
Therefore I’ve been double charged and also charged for a no show fee. This is absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable. #hiltoncorporate #hilton #hiltonceo
Updated 11.27 - I have now been charged on both my personal account and my corporate card (double charged). I have reached out to the hotel. The manager, Patricia, will not call or email me back. I have reached out to corporate and they haven’t called back either. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
Updated: I was charged for a “no show” and one night. I stayed two nights. I called Wednesday, 9.27 and asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation (see original posted) and she told me to email her and she’d get back to me Thursday with a corrected receipt.
It’s now Sunday and I have emailed her twice with no reply. It’s frustrating, as I have to submit the receipt for a business expense and a “no show” is unacceptable for accounting. It also doesn’t allow me to get Hilton points.
The lack of response, especially after the manager personally told me on Wednesday she’d get back to me Thursday is poor service.
The staff at this location was friendly and helpful! My closet door wouldn’t open and the evening clerk was so nice and took time out of her day to help me. This morning my key wouldn’t work in the fitness center, so the morning clerk assisted me and was incredibly friendly. Overall, everything was fairly clean and tidy.
Downsides: My second night, a clerk opened my door, thank goodness the flip lock was on. He said that I was a no show the night before (or at least that was what the account said). Incorrect. I thought this was all handled, as I went back to the front desk with the clerk, he reran my card. However, when I got my receipt, they charged me for a “no show”. I had to call twice to try to figure it out. Finally, I was transferred to the manager, Patricia, who was helpful.

1.- As soon as I booked the room I called the hotel to confirm the availability for a crib for our 1 year old baby. They mentioned that I shouldn't worry, that I would have one as soon as I do the check in. No crib was available when we arrived so I had to buy one from Target.
2.- The hotel does not provide housekeeping service due to covid. When I booked the hotel, that was not mentioned anywhere. When I book a hotel room for more than 1 night, I am expecting to have it cleaned every single day. That´s why I pick Hotels over Hostels or Airnbns. In this hotel, they won't clean up your room on a daily basis because of the pandemic? Come on, no one of the staff members is even wearing a mask. Moreover, if I want my towels to be replaced, I need to take the old and wet ones to reception and they will give me new ones? I paid full price for a hotel room, but I feel I am staying in a student hostel. We asked for housekeeping for all our nights.
3.- On our first night, when we first arrived in the room, it was totally dirty, with dust everywhere (I can share good pictures with you). Not only they won´t clean up rooms on a daily basis but they will also give you a dirty room in the first place?
4- We decided to take a shower and surprise! The water went all over the place, not only in the bathroom but also along the whole room. We wanted to call reception but the phone in the room didn't work. I had to go all the way down to reception. They weren't actually surprised...they mentioned that they didn´t know why we got that room so it was "out of order". We were moved from room 216 to room 200. They also promised us that we would get the room cleaned up on Sunday (today). We have just arrived in the room and they have done nothing!
Again, we booked a Hilton Hotel room so we really trusted Hilton Group but, the experience that we have had so far it's been so bad. Please do something. I feel ripped...
