Salons by JC Lewisville — Local services in Lewisville

This one of those places that individual stylists have their own little place. It's not one big open salon, so it's hard to rate Salons by JC except to say that it's a nice place, clean, well kept up, etc. Whether you get a good haircut or bad depends upon the stylist, who I would imagine is an independent contractor.

My stylist, Brandalyn Curry just recently moved her business, Rebel Beauty, over here from another similar type setup of individual little salons and because she does such great work, I followed her over. She's personable, friendly, knowledgeable & not cheap, but is certainly affordable. She passed along a tip for those of us with curly hair - drying it with a Tshirt (or a pillowcase, as I've done also) instead of a terry-cloth towel helps keep the frizzies down. She's also got a great spray product that helps with that (but I don't remember the name of it).

She suggests & sets my next appointment before I leave so I don't have to call in panic b/c my roots are showing, etc. She recommends an appropriate interval and I've noticed that they do start showing just a teeny bit by the time of my next appointment.

She's great to talk to while waiting for the color to do it's thing and she remembers details about my events or vacations that I've shared with her and asks about them because she really cares.

I really don't know what to say about Salons by JC, but I HIGHLY recommend my own stylist, Brandalyn Curry, that moved her Rebel Beauty business...

Last night i went to get my hair colored with Sey before the holidays. I asked for a balayge style with brown and blonde which i got before from her for $130. She started doing it and stated i would need different sessions to get it really blonde. Okay cool totally understandable. She did my top of my hair, first layer, and stopped. I'm not a hair dresser so I'm thinking she needs to wait and do that first and than work on the rest. Well no she washes my hair. I ask what about the rest of my hair that you did not even touched. "Oh i didn't think you would want to spend a lot of money so i only did one section. Next time when you come in we can work on another. I mean you don't want to spend $250 right now right." First of all that's my decision to make not yours. Second. Why did you not mention this time you are going to charge me double to do my WHOLE HAIR. I let her now how upset i was because half the work was done and not even what i asked for how come they look like highlights or like some one just rubbed hair dyed on top of my head and she said i can do the rest of your hair but it will be another $130 my rices went up. What the freak. I feel like i just got hustled for the holidays. So upset I have to go through the holidays looking a hot mess. I can not even fix my hair other than a part by the middle because is only the top done with that...
