Williams-Sonoma — Local services in Lexington

This review is directed towards the older, short haired, blonde employee working at this location. Each time I go into the store, I am given the cold shoulder by this lady. Once I was in there to buy a baking dish and she did not greet me (likely because I’m younger and maybe didn’t look like a rich housewife), but a mid 30s lady walked in directly after and was greeted with a smile on her face. I left and ordered from crate and barrel instead. Today I walked in to browse again as I like buying their new fall items, though I walked through the whole store and was not addressed a single time (I was the only customer in the store). Before I left, walked past her and said “hi, how are you” to which she looked at me and didn’t respond. I left without purchasing a single thing and will be, yet again, ordering what I want from another company.

Just had an incredibly disappointing experience here, 1/8/21. The Google listing says open until 9, however instantly upon walking in a man rudely and loudly met us at the door and told us they closed in 5 minutes, and asked whether their was anything we precisely wanted to find. We apologized and mentioned we thought it was 9 (due to Google) and he was clearly disgruntled and firmly said “it’s 8 on our website” before leaving promptly.

We were extremely friendly and unbothered, having swung by after dinner to browse, and more than happy to come back another time! The customer service attitude makes me not want to come back, however I am sure this was simply a bad night for this specific gentleman. I hate leaving poor reviews but I felt very uncomfortable with an employee at this store. I was looking at the Staub cookware and naturally picked it up to look at it/inside of it like anyone else would. An older lady with short hair approached me and asked if there was anything I needed help with and stood very close to me. I politely said “No thanks I’m just checking out the Staub” she very condescendingly/snarkily replied “Oh just touching?” I’m thinking excuse me? Do I not look like I can afford to shop here?
