I've been wanting to try a Shake Shack ever since I heard about them. I only recently heard that Lexington had one, so I made a pilgrimage of 70 miles to give it a try, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The burger has just the right about of moisture and the Shacksauce that comes with it is incredibly tasty, and this is coming from someone who typically hates most burger sauces. The fries are a crinkle cut style with just the right amount of crunch and salt. I got a cookies and cream shake with my meal, because this is the Shake Shack after all, so I definitely have to give it a try. The Shake was soft and easy to draw through the straw, but if you are a thick shake fan this might not be your thing, though personally I don't like to struggle to drink my shake, so this was perfect. The ice cream was sweet, but not too overly sweet and the cookies were well ground, so they didn't clog up the straw which is the most annoying thing when drinking a Cookies and Cream shake. Overall I loved Shake Shack and the only con I have to give it is that it's a little on the pricier side, but definitely worth it if you get the chance to try it.

Ordering on the kiosk ruined my experience today. We've always loved coming there before, but the kiosk doesn't have ways to say 'crispy fries' or choose 2 sauces, or ask if the chicken fingers are really just nuggets (they were) ... just not the same. We wanted to go back and get a coke and a shake, but the kiosk was such a pain in the ass and takes longer, so we ate and left without getting shakes or drinks. And asking me to tip when I order my own food on the kiosk, and come pick it up, is insulting. The burger was good, but the chicken was coated in something odd, maybe Panko? Again, this is something I would've asked a real person and chosen something else. The fries were great. I love the area and the employees were all fine, but their job wasn't to wait on customers, it was to point us to the kiosk. As we were leaving, I saw an employee had come up front to help an older customer order with the kiosk because they couldn't figure it out. It's just not the same. Food is fine, but ordering online, I can get that at McDonalds, with free e coli ;)

Absolutely delicious! This is hands down the best burger in town. This place is a must try if you have never tried it. I highly recommend the Double Shack Burger. You can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients that they use. The burgers have a meaty, almost steak taste to them, and the buns are super soft, and next level to any other burger chain. The fries are crinkle cut, that are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The milk shakes are also out of this world. The only negative that I can say, is that it is on the pricey side, but I guess that is a fair trade off for exceptional food, friendly service, in a fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.

TWO STARS FOR MANAGEMENT, FIVE STARS FOR FOOD

This is a review for the store manager/franchisee/owner/tall dude with dark hair and glasses. My husband and I came in this afternoon, Wednesday November 29 around 3:30 pm. Ordered and sat down in what was apparently the manager's office. A booth positioned in an alcove that was semi private and out of the direct sunlight. He sits down behind us. We had noticed a laptop and phone was on this booth behind us but didn't think much of it. An employee came up to him and told him she was going on her break. Instead, he thought it appropriate to sit her down and demand an explanation on some idiot bad review, based on what we overheard. We spent our entire meal listening to this jerk reprimand her and explain how this was a bad image for him and affected advertising and so on. I felt bad for this girl who probably just had a bad night and at that moment wanted to take her break. Newsflash, Manager dude-since you clearly read these reviews. Customers do not want to hear the inner workings of your restaurant while trying to enjoy their meal. It is rude, inappropriate and embarrassing to reprimand an employee out in the opening. If there wasn't an office available to use, there were plenty of seats you could've pulled her aside to that weren't right by customers. How hilarious you care more about what some review says more than you do about actual customers that are in that moment eating in your restaurant. Anyway the food was great. Hot and fresh, generous portions, fries cooked perfectly. However, I can think of numerous greasy burger places in town that I can get similar quality food for less than the $26 we spent on two burgers, one order of fries, one shake, and two waters. This review will be posted on yelp and sent to the corporate site as well. I hope you find my...

They had an employee on duty opening the door for customers and delivering their orders to the tables, both indoors and out. We both had a single Shack burger and immediately agreed they are better than our regular favorites. We split an order of bacon cheese fries. I wasn't expecting a whole lot from those because at most burger places they are so so. These were delicious. The sauce actually tasted like real cheese. My husband had a strawberry shake and it was really, really good, with plenty of fresh strawberry pieces all through it. I don't like frozen custard at most places because it tastes too much like egg. Not here, it tasted just as good as ice cream. The outdoor seating area is nice, with several shaded tables. There is also an artificial grass area with chairs and a porch swing to relax and enjoy your shake. The only thing I didn't like was they had a little tie out area for your dog so you could run in and place your order. It was in direct sunlight and the only place they could get out of the weather was practically in front of the doors. Not a good situation for the dog or for anyone who is afraid of dogs. It was right at $30 for two of us. Not horrible, and definitely worth it compared to all the "world famous" burger joints.

Never tried this fast food franchise in the past. Read an article discussing the high quality of their burgers. The website described a Garden (Hot) Dog that sounds yummy. So I stopped in the Summit location.

The cashier was very very friendly and helpful. Ordered a single cheeseburger with tomato and onion. I opted out of the fries, but asked for the Garden Dog. Alas, this location doesn’t offer that menu item. Still, they do offer hot dogs. I asked for a chili dog, but, again, chili is not a menu option. I was fine with a dog with onion and mustard. The mustard was in packets on the counter.

Our food was delivered quickly. I must say both the cheeseburger and hot dogs were tasty. Top quality. When finished, the cashier came by to collect my plate and wrappers. Not sure that was standard practice, but the restaurant was not super busy at this lunch hour.

I will return at some point, but our total bill (for me and my spouse) totaled over $30. While the food is really good, it more expensive than I want to spend on a weekly basis. Once every couple months for a treat is more in line for my budget.

Despite the couple of minor complaints this was a positive experience. I can recommend...
