Historical Conquest — Local services in Liberty

I have played this game for 5 or 6 years. Been an ambassador and am a 3 time Create your own card finalist. Basically I know this game pretty well. Their are many things to love about the game. History in a card game with so many incredible stories and characters to collect. What really makes this game is Zack Edwards the owner. He brings you in like no one else and makes you feel like you are truly part of the community and that your opinions matter. He always makes sure his products are a high quality and I can say they are.

However their is one major flaw with this game that prevents me from giving it a 5 star. Deck building. If you play other games like Magic or Yugioh you know that one of the funnest and most strategy intensive parts of any deck building card game like this is building the deck. This game doesn't have that. Decks don't have a coherent strategy around the cards. there are no combos or archetypes/tribes to build around. This is really sad because with using cards from different historical periods their is so much potential to create these combinations.

Also Game play is still very confusing. Many of the cards have effects that in an attempt to be historically accurate don't work in the game. They create scenarios where the ruling is basically personal opinion.

Over all the game is really great and 10 out of 10 recommend but at a higher level once your in the game for a while you can't create a deck better then a collection of good...

Historical Conquest is an entertaining way to learn history! Our homeschool cooperative offered a Historical Conquest class where each child purchased a starter pack and participated in gameplay each week. Additionally, they held tournaments and even a costume contest where they dressed up as one of the cards in their deck. All the students loved this class and gameplay continues to be a part of our co-op each week. My own homeschool history curriculum has certainly been energized by Historical Conquest! It amazes me how much my three children know about past events, people, and places simply from playing this game. Whether you homeschool or not, I highly recommend giving Historical...

I have many games and I have to say, Historical Conquest is one of the best games ever! I have been playing HC for 4+ years and still enjoy it immensely.

The concept of HC is amazing. It is a great combination of historical characters and events from ancient Egyptians to the American Revolution to the Apollo Missions. I like playing very strategic games, and there is plenty of strategy in HC, but not so much to become overwhelming for those who don’t care for playing long strategic games. I have enjoyed being introduced to so many different aspects of history in such a fun way.

I would highly recommend Historical Conquest to anyone...
