Ash & Ash Co. — Local services in Lincoln

My daughter and granddaughters love coming to Lincoln, Nebraska, and going to the Ashe and Ashe store at 6900 O Street to shop. However, we visited the store on 11/25/2023 and found several items the girls wanted for Christmas, which I bought. They found an item on the $5 sale rack and proceeded to buy it along with some other regular priced items. The girl (possibly the manager) who checked them out told them that item wasn’t for sale. It was not only on the sale rack, it had an official store tag with the marked down price on it. I offered to pay full price for it, but they said no, they didn’t want it anymore. At this point I’m not sure we will be shopping at Ashe and Ashe again. Just letting you know about this. I’ve always said one employee can ruin a business. When people love a store and receive this treatment, the desire to continue to do business there tends to disappear. I can only assume you would like your store to succeed. This is only one incident, but if things like this happen to many other customers, it could become challenging to keep your business reputation in the community. My friends have been raving about this boutique for some time now so I sent my sister in there to look for clothes for our Nashville trip. She came home disappointed and upset due to the lack of human decency she received while shopping. This boutique has an awesome selection of items but needs some help in the customer service department. While my sister and her friend were searching for a gold necklace with her initial, an associate asked her in a rather snarky tone “what initial are you even looking for?” And when my sister answered, she proceeded to say “we don’t even have that.” I could tell my sister was taken back when the associate proceeded to be so sweet to our friend at checkout.. She was already disappointed by the fact that the size range is limited unless you’re looking for a graphic tee so this was the icing on the cake. Ash and Ash Co is a wonderful boutique in Lincoln! I love how they post photos of inventory on their social media. It helps to see what is new and current in the store as well as how the clothes fit on the body. They are always very fast at replying to comments and messages. I love that they do custom jewelry and screen print tees, as well. My friend loved her personalized necklace from Ash and Ash Co. With two locations, they are so organized with their inventory. If you don't see something at one location, they are quick to call over and check the other store. The staff is beyond friendly and willing to help with styling or any questions you have.
