To be objective, Central transport is the lowest cost / quality provider of LTL services that we have encountered. Our business ships 8 to 10 LTL shipments per week, and quotes all of the major carriers (UPS, Fedex, YRS, and XPO). We typically find Central Transport 12-18% lower in cost, however there is a major and significant tradeoff. Quality.
We routinely have palletized items damaged and destroyed by the staff at Central Transport. The staff (drivers) don’t appear to care about the condition of the items that they are transporting and delivering, since we have routinely been given the response that “it isn’t my fault”.
Since we had continuous quality and damage problems with Central Transport, they have been removed from our qualified LTL carrier list. Central Transport has caused our company much additional work due to their uncaring culture.
We strongly recommend you find a more professional and caring LTL carrier for your shipments, all customers...

When it did arrive the first time around, drivers refused to call both numbers listed for contact, did not call 10 minutes ahead of arrival, and refused to wait for someone to get out of the building to help them unload, leaving before anyone could get on the forklift.
With the utter lack of transparency about delivery time, or date, how is someone supposed to run a business, while expecting a shipment?
