BISTRO LOCALE — Restaurant in Smithfield

Just visited Bistro Locale just last night (9/20/25). The food was fantastic. Very authentic. Employees were very friendly and eager to please. I do hope that Bistro Locale doesn't go anywhere anytime soon as I thoroughly enjoyed my visit last night. I was surprised to hear that Bistro Locale has been open for nearly a month and I did not know; however, not surprised as anybody who drives by that location (55mph+) naturally do not turn to look up that hill and focus on the parking lot to see if there are cars and or a sign. I think it's a shame that the owners of the property have not taken a little responsibility for all the previous failed businesses as it is common sense that the location has poor visibility from the street. It's also common sense that a simple fix would be to take the current signage and move it closer to the street and turn it sideways, in the very least sideways with more lights on it. As mentioned above, I do hope that Bistro Locale is here to stay. I'm actually planning to visit this establishment again this evening with a friend that I know will appreciate the great customer service and fantastic...

I was lucky to find this gem💎 for dinner! I was looking for a good, tasty, healthy meal and hit the jackpot! I found many options on the menu but finally chose the Apple and Goat Cheese salad which was delicious, and featured caramelized local apples, arugula, goat cheese, red beets, and croutons. I couldn’t resist trying this recipe, Grandma Emelia’s Pipian Con Pollo, particularly after I googled “pipian” sauce! The chef’s version would make his Grandma proud! 💕 I learned that the owners recently opened this beautiful, large restaurant where they feature their well-known breakfast (like at their Café Locale in Attleboro), but have also introduced a variety of homemade dinners, many that blend in their Authentic Mexican flair in marvelous, subtle dishes. No need to worry about food being spicy, as they carefully bring out the best flavors! What a lovely restaurant – I only wish it was closer to my home! Thank you...

Dinned here last Friday and while the staff was super friendly and kind, it took 10-15 minutes for our drinks to arrive after putting the order in. Additionally, I was overcharged.

The food was alright, was a little chewy but it did have good flavor. Our total bill was $83.15 before tip. Later on I checked my account and noticed the total went up to $115.15 which did not match the tip amount I wrote on the receipt.

Thankfully I called and they stated they would refund me the incorrect amount and apologized which is much appreciated.

Wish I could give this restaurant a higher review as they were very friendly people, but the circumstances of the overcharge and the wait time for drinks/responsiveness hindered...
