Starbucks — Restaurant in Lincoln

A Starbucks is a Starbucks, right? Well, not exactly. Sure, they all make the same drinks, have the same pre-packaged food, and all have slightly over roasted coffee beans, but not every Starbucks has these employees.

This store really had the best employees. I come in 1-2 nights per week and tutor at this particular location. I grab a table, get an iced coffee (depending on the weather, a hot coffee), and tutor all evening, getting several refills (shout out to the rewards program: I've been a gold member since 2011, i think, and have not had to pay for a refill on brewed coffee since then!). They all know that my refills are free (because i have the gold card), but they treat me just like any other customer, with the same urgency and quality of service. They talk about the math I'm teaching my students, have conversations with me about their lives, etc. This is a great set of employees who go above and beyond. Everyone knows my name...

How can the base of a drink be ice.?!.. I am Livid when I get one that's full of ice and drink it in 3 sips lol for $7? Today, as I do every other day and it’s never been a problem, asked for “slightly less ice”. That means just a tiny bit less than usual, you know, so the cup isn’t just ice to the rim and it’s not a total waste of money. I was told they aren’t allowed to do that anymore because the base of the drink is ice.. I just did that yesterday same location and no issue. I’m not asking for much, I never care if it’s replaced with a little extra oatmilk, I’m not even trying to get my moneys worth because quite frankly it’s all overpriced for what you get. I never complain but I spend SO much money with Starbucks , if you can’t do something so simple then maybe come up with a slightly different concoction because that is a complete scam! I can’t imagine I’m the first one to say this.. You guys are turning me...

Was ok. A little on the pricey side, and they didnt have much of a brewed coffee selection. Nor did they have on brew the flavor I typically buy in the store. The servers spoke so quietly that you could barely hear them (almost as if they were new to the job and intimidated by the customer). I had to clean my own table prior to sitting down. Oh and back to my favorite flavor...I asked if she had it on brew and she said (barely audible), "we have it over there in bags." I thought, if I wanted to buy a bag and go home to brew it, I would have just stayed home altogether and brewed the coffee that I already have! Maybe I was there on an "off" day, but my experience that day has left my (and the person I was trying to have coffee with) reluctant to return.
