Lincoln Mall has been a Rhode Island landmark for more years than I've been alive. I can remember going to the Papa Gino's for something to eat before visiting the movie theater with my aunts when I was just a lad of single digits. Later, it was a popular hangout in my teens up to adulthood. Though both the pizza place and the original theater is long gone, Lincoln Mall remains a popular destination for many people, not just shoppers. The common areas of the mall open early despite the fact that most of the storefronts haven't opened yet, allowing multitudes of elderly folk to exercise themselves by walking a goodly way in a controlled environment. On good weather days it's not unusual to see people walking the perimeter of the property's ginormous parking lot for the same reason. Though the mall suffered a decline in the mid-to-late 90's the main building underwent a significant renovation that increased its size and the configuration of the parking lot. And subsequently increased its popularity with the locals. Located on Rte.116, mere seconds from Rte.146. A good alternative to Emerald Square and/or...
Read moreThere are pretty much none (if any) of the inside stores left. The stores that do make up the mall now are all good stores and there's quite a selection. In the choice of places to eat on the property there's Papa Gino's, Subway, Chili's, Asia Grille, Starbucks, McDonald's, and Five Guys. There are also off price or bargain stores such as Marshalls, Job Lot, and Dollar Tree. The two main retailers are Target and Stop & Shop, plus a variety of other stores and services, such as Famous Footwear, iParty, and more. One of the biggest places that attract people to the mall is the Cinema World movie theater. The theater itself is very clean and modern, and it always has a good selection of current movies showing. While the mall is a world away from what it was at one time and I do miss the smaller shops and stores, it is much more modernized and clean, and the selection of stores...
Read moreThis mall is almost dead, no matter how much it tries to revive itself, it just isn't working. There aren't really any stores inside the mall itself. The movie theatere, arcade, and three other small places are the only things open (even the water fountain inside is now gone). There are a couple popular stores and restaurants linked to the mall. Lincoln Mall is now more like a Lincoln Plaza, and it's almost dead compared to other malls in the area. I go there a lot and can easily entertain myself, but only for an hour or so. I prefer Emerald Square Mall and Providence Place Mall to do my shopping and go out with friends. However, Lincoln Mall still proves to be a...
