Very Disappointed with This Store

I’m extremely disappointed with this store. A few months ago, I bought some cassava from them, and it turned out to be completely rotten. I didn’t complain at the time—I simply threw it away.

However, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, around 3:30 PM, I went back and purchased a few items, including cassava. The next day, Sunday the 27th, I planned to cook it, only to discover that out of the five cassavas I bought, four were completely rotten.

On the morning of July 28th, I returned to the store hoping they would exchange them for fresh ones. To my surprise and disappointment, the staff member refused to give me replacements simply because I didn’t have a receipt. I asked them to check their register or purchase history like most stores do, but he claimed they don't keep records and that everything from the previous day is discarded.

Not only was he unhelpful, but also very rude in how he handled the situation. This is the second time I’ve received spoiled products from this store, and their customer service is completely unacceptable.

To everyone shopping here: be cautious. They do not treat customers with respect and seem to have no accountability for selling old or spoiled items.

At this point, I’m wondering if this behavior should be reported to consumer protection or even the police, since it seems they’re knowingly selling expired or bad food...

I went to the store today the woman at the counter over charged me and told me to buy something else cause she over charged me I said no put my money back on my card she said no I said,what about my bleach she,wanted me to pay for that they robbed me for $4.96 now that's not a lot of money times are too hard to go to the store and get robbed by the store you're doing business with.. I Curse that store with an Ancient Egyptian Curse... Prophet.. I... called the store this this ask to speak to the owner about what happened they continue to hang the phone up in my face please city of Lincoln shut that store down permanently...I'am calling for a boycott..of.the.. store... remember....they.. did..it..to..me.. they'll do it to everyone...

Guerrero's is a great place to get Hispanic peppers, hot sauces, and other foods, but it's disgraceful how they charge the poor people who live in the Everett neighborhood of Lincoln who have trouble getting to regular grocery stores such outrageously high prices for staples and regular groceries. And very often Guerrero's is selling grocery items that are very close to their expiration date. They also have a store policy requiring a minimum purchase if you want to pay with plastic, which I always thought was against card issuer policy...
