Canopy Street Market — Local services in Lincoln

We got into Lincoln, Nebraska late yesterday after two days of driving and my partner realized his contact solution leaked out of the bottle due to elevation. Our hotel said we could quickly run down to Canopy Market and grab some before they closed, we ran the few blocks on foot (15 degrees outside) and arrived to locked doors at 7:57pm , they close at 8pm. I could see the employee checking a customer out at the counter and grabbed the door handles hoping he would run over to let us in, he wouldn’t make eye contact so I knocked on the window and he looked up and shook his head to say they were closed. I turned my phone towards him to show him that we still had a couple of minutes until closing and he turned away. He had to physically come let the last customer out of the store so I stood outside the door hoping to explain our need and that I would be so quick but he shut the door on us and locked it, walked away. This fine lil gem brightened my day! Work has brought me to Lincoln twice in the past couple of years, love the Haymarket area. I am staying pretty close and am SO glad I googled nearby grocery stores on my way back from work. Your staff helped me find abt every item I needed and was genuinely happy to do so. Glad to have an additional market available in the area! Love the reasonable hours, staff are friendly, and the product selection is refined to meet everyone’s needs. While it may appear to be a smaller space, I’m not sure there’s all that much that they don’t offer compared to a regular full size store.

You do pay for convenience. I shop at a variety of stores all over town on a weekly basis and their prices are high, especially if you’re purchasing alcohol.
