I can't figure out why I still occasionally shop at Raley's. they're massively overpriced and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
The employees in the meat department seem to be very arrogant and get annoyed anytime you ask a question, it's as though you're inconveniencing them.
Now I'm speaking specifically of the Raley's in Lincoln, there is a Bel Air in Carmichael California and The Butchers and employees in the meat department at that location are absolutely amazing and will go out of their way to help you, but this Lincoln location is a joke.
I had a prescription transferred from Bel Air in Carmichael to Raley's in Lincoln and the pharmacist would not fill it saying she was uncomfortable filling my prescription. It didn't matter to the pharmacist when I pointed out that Raley's had been refilling that very same prescription for well over a year and that the doctor who wrote it is one of Northern California Premier neurosurgeons.
On top of that they never called me back after dropping off the prescription, I'm semi disabled and need to ride around in one of those scooters so it's not really easy for me and after not hearing from the pharmacy for over a week I drove back up there to see what was going on as I was running out of medication.
The pharmacist excuse for not calling me was that they didn't have a good phone number for me, meanwhile when she handed me back my prescription my phone number was clearly written across the top of the prescription. Not to mention I've been going to Raley's Bel-Air for over 20 years having my prescriptions filled there so if they don't have my phone number that's their own fault.
Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous this is I drove up the street to Safeway, handed them my prescription and 20 minutes later walked out the store with it. Guess what I'm having all my prescriptions transferred to.
Now I will give credit where credit is do, Bel Air and Raley's always seems to have really good produce and they do sell fairly high quality meat even though it is massively overpriced. I can go to Costco and buy USDA prime for less than what Raley's sells USDA choice for.
I just picked up for USDA Choice New York steaks for $7.59 a pound at Costco, Raley's wants close to $14 a pound for the same thing. Now I'd be willing to pay a little more if the customer service warranted it but that's just simply...

The crap service continues. Remember that “quick check lane” that’s been closed for almost a year? Well they tore it out and put more self check machines ! This is the worst grocery store I’ve every shopped at. Most employees are indifferent with no personality and bordering rude. Been this way a very long time. Store manager must be a real gem to allow this. Combined with long lines in a mostly empty store, I will drive a mile down the road to Safeway. They have many check stands open including the “Quick check lane”. The staff are always friendly and helpful and prices are much better.
Spent my last dollar at Raleys !
Lousy customer service, quick check lane blocked off and permanently closed. Long lines down the isles on most days with hardly anyone shopping ? They never have enough staff. Maybe if you offered great customer service your business would increase and then you could hire more people!?!? Or hire more people now. Chicken and egg!
Bottom line the culture at this store stinks from the top down and it shows on its limited staff faces. They look like disgruntled Walmart employees! Rarely a smile.
The Safeway down the street ALWAYS has plenty of help. Quick check is ALWAYS open. Looks like they have no problem getting and keeping employees!!! Again, it’s a problem at the store management level and more so...
Read moreEverybody at the store was quite friendly and approachable except for one lady walking around doing inventory or restockimg.. she had to be trying to be rude , 3 times passed and gave what I deemed to be an unacceptable appearance for somebody involved in the customer service/retail business. I shop your place of business for the appearance quality of merchandise and of course being disabled the excellent customer service your company provides. She may have just had a bad day but was nice and friendly to the bread vendor and rude to me the client. Once again I can purchase many of the same products elsewhere for quite a bit cheaper, but I come there for the whole experience... if I am treated this way I might as well go to the other options we have here in Lincoln. I normally do not answer these surveys but felt situation should be brought to the managers and supervisors attention. Thank you and...
