I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Ross recently when I attempted to make a return. I didnât have the original card I used for the purchase, so I understood that the refund would be issued as store credit. However, what should have been a routine transaction turned into an unnecessarily negative ordeal due to the cashierâs rude and accusatory behavior.
While assisting the cashier by identifying the items on the receipt, she outright accused me of essentially stealing, implying that my familiarity with the items was suspicious. Her tone was condescending and accusatory, as if knowing my own purchases was somehow a crime. She then insisted that I go find one of the items in the store to confirm it matched the receipt.
When I returned promptly with the exact item, she continued to rudely argue, claiming it couldnât be the correct one because the receipt said âgreen pearl,â while the shirt I brought was âwhite pearl.â It turned out that the confusion stemmed from the tag, which was green, and the description on the tag referred to the 3D pearl details on the shirt. Even when this was clarified, she doubled down on her rude demeanor rather than acknowledging the misunderstanding.
To make matters worse, her coworker, standing right next to her, made an inappropriate comment about another customer as soon as they left, claiming the customer had given her a âjudgmental stare.â This level of unprofessionalism was appalling.
The entire experience was unnecessarily confrontational and disrespectful. Itâs one thing to encounter confusion over a transaction, but the way this cashier chose to handle it, by publicly making negative remarks and trying to call me out in front of the store, was completely unacceptable. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism, not suspicion...
Read moreDissapointed with this location, a family member had a product brought here, they accidently purchased the wrong size, all they wanted was another size, same item with same price, I guess they had a sale when the item was purchased, today no longer have the sale, they expected them to pay 80 cents because it was no longer on sale. Ridiculous! A number of us in my family have worked retail before and are well aware of how things are done, like everyone else we also do shopping, the point is when we had a sell item the wrong size, stores do an even exchange, if it's returned you get back what you paid for it, but not pay back what you saved on the sell for an even exchange item. My concern is my family member has an accent when speaking English and was not treated well due to that fact, maybe even discriminated, for this I hope not, no wonder why more and more people are shopping...
Read moreThe regular fitting rooms are now closed, converted into TWO ultra tiny stalls right in the front of the store (probably to deter theft). Restrooms are on lockdown so if you need to go, you're out of luck as no one will help you timely. We figured this out the hard way after walking from the back of the store to the front, requested to unlock the restrooms, and then had to wait and ask a second time. The water fountains are also turned off. What other store has customer restrooms AND fitting rooms, and drinking fountains locked down like this? I do feel for their employees as it's gotta be a pain to deal with these circumstances. In combination with their lack of decent merchandise I honestly don't see this...
