This is my local Tj Maxx. I love coming here. I was a bit bummed when I got home and the security tag was still left on my clothes. I’m even more bummed with how the employee reacted to me coming in to the store. Your cashier telling me “didn’t you hear the alarm when you walked out?” Isn’t very helpful when I couldn’t even hear it. The store was busy the previous night I had visited when I went in with my family who I was in conversation in when leaving the store. It is your employees responsibility to make sure security tags are off and if that alarm is going off it’s also your responsibility to stop someone since your employees can hear it loud and clear. I had my receipt prepared to show I paid for my clothing item. But if they didn’t even catch the alarm going on when I left then hopefully they are good at catching the shop lifters since they couldn’t bother to pay attention to the tag alarm apparently going off. I needed to return a curling iron I bought and used once on a 1 inch strand of hair and realized the item did not live up to what the box stated. Read moreI bought a pair of jeans from the store. (I shop at TJ Maxx a lot and have done so over the years.) The jeans kind of had a strong new clothes smell but I didn’t think anything of it. Washed them and the smell won’t go away. Washed them again and it won’t go away. Called the store manager to ask about returning them and she said no because I washed them I can’t return them. But the only way to know they were defective and that the smell wouldn’t go away is to have washed them. So now I’m screwed. I have to say their customer service is very poor.
