I feel compelled to express my recent disappointing experience at Pet Planet, a store I have patronized for years due to its formerly high standards. Regrettably, my last visit was far from satisfactory, primarily due to what I perceived as poor management by the store manager, Michaela, who also came across as rude. If one does not want to be at their job, perhaps they should consider stepping down. The previous management seemed more competent and professional. Additionally, I noticed that the staff, all of whom are female, appeared standoffish and seemed to gossip about customers, which is highly unprofessional and uncomfortable for shoppers.
During my visit, the customer service has significantly declined under Michaela's leadership. It was challenging to obtain assistance, and the staff members I interacted with seemed less knowledgeable and less willing to help than they were in the past. This change is particularly disheartening as the expertise and helpfulness of the staff were once commendable attributes of your store.
I sincerely hope this feedback prompts a thorough review and immediate improvements in both management and overall store standards at Pet Planet. The current state of affairs under Michaela's management is unacceptable and fails to live up to the reputation that Pet Planet has established...
Read moreI cannot say enough PRAISE about MICHAELA at the litchfield park Pet Planet!!I’ve been stressed about switching my husky’s food since my vet mentioned grain free diets were being studied as potentially FATAL at our last checkup in recent studies which take years and years to figure out... I called to ask what’s the BEST kibble I could put my boy on. Michaela had read the FDA’s most recent update/announcement on the study, which debunked grain free being any factor in this AND reassured me the NULO line is still hands-down one of the best if not the best. I’m so glad I don’t have to switch from a trusted brand that I’ve personally seen change the lives/health and coats for my huskies and shepherds in as little as a week! It’s worth the 10-20$ extra per bag trust me! Michaela was BEYOND helpful kind patient and knowledgeable and I just want the public and her team to know she truly is a one of a kind employee who’ll help you and your furry kids! Im beyond grateful for her help and guidance & that SHE was the one who answered the phone. I hope they’re glad they have someone so knowledgeable and in tune with the industry on their team!! Read moreMy wife has been picking up our dog food here for a few months now and kept raving about it. Today was my first chance to stop by and I completely see why she loves it so much. The two women working were more helpful than I would have ever thought anyone would be at a pet store. They grabbed the frozen food I was buying and moved it to the counter so I could continue to look at the freeze dried food. They then showed me all the bags that were on sale of the freeze dried food I was looking at. Then they tried to assist me when I could barley reach some treats on a top hook (short guy problems). They also insisted on carrying out all my bags to my truck. The ladies working were very helpful and interested in the dogs without being pushy or annoying.
