Absolutely the worst customer service and the owner has a mouth that should be cleaned out with soap. I've dealt with this woman for two years now and I am done. She does not apologize when there has been a mistake with the order. She screams at customers... I've watched and witnessed it. She has yelled at me one too many times and that was today. Her cash register is to be questioned and she treats her employees like third class citizens... they themselves have told several of us. I love their bagels but will not support a business that treats their customers and employees alike the way she does. Maybe they do that in Albania, but not here in the US. She has customers that are enraged with her approach to returning items that are incorrect and now has a sign that reads "No complaints on orders when you leave the store." I get that but why not try to correct the mistakes so that customers don't come back and say that there was a nail or a something in their food. That's not right either so I understand but why not figure out why the mistakes still happen? I have been shorted bagels with no apology, come home with pancakes without syrup, not allowed to bring in my own special butter for my bagels because she wants to make more than $1.75 on a plain bagel, screamed at on Mother's Day for returning a wrong order and told that I should have waited a few days.. really? Wait a few days? And I have taken care of her employees at XMAS... for this kind of behavior from an owner? She needs a few courses in how to run a business, how to treat people, and how to treat her employees. I was shocked to learn that she required her two employees to keep the air on so high (meaning so hot) during 120 degrees while she was gone for a month in Albania ... I can't support this kind of toxic business for the love of her bagels. Good riddance Hot...
Read moreFor the past two years, my family and I have been regulars at Hot Bagels and Deli Number One in Arizona. With two growing boys aged 12 and 13, and a wife with discerning tastes, finding a place that consistently pleases everyone can be a challenge. Yet, this deli has consistently exceeded our expectations.
Their bagels are a testament to the art of baking. Each bite takes us back to the bustling streets of New York City, where these treats are legendary. But it's not just the bagels that keep us coming back. The variety of sandwiches they offer is nothing short of fabulous. Whether it's a classic BLT or a creative gourmet creation, their sandwiches are a work of art.
The dedication of the staff is palpable. Over these two years, they've become more like friends, remembering our usual orders and always greeting us with a smile (especially Gentiana)😊 It's this personal touch that makes Hot Bagels and Deli Number One stand out.
So, if you're on the hunt for bagels and sandwiches that are more than just food – they're an experience – look no further. Hot Bagels and Deli Number One is a gem in Arizona that has consistently delivered quality and taste, making it our go-to spot for an unforgettable meal.
And for you picky ones and freebie ones you better not rush and give a bad review it's just simply not fair, oh and also these people not going to take your nonsense believe me they're from New York. So better be good be real and you going to get excellent food otherwise you're going to...
Read moreDon't let the name fool you, the lady at the counter told me this is not the same as other Hot Bagel locations and they won't accept their gift cards. I don't know why they're trying to look and name themselves exactly like the other stores but don't come here it's not the same. seem to mess up orders VERY often. They hand write the orders in code and every employee has English as a second language, so my order gets messed up about half of the time. Its very frustrating.
Edit: apparently they switched owners from the other Hot Bagel stores and no longer want to be associated with them at all. I'm not sure why they have the same name but they are not the same store. They won't accept gift cards from other Hot Bagels because she says the profits wont go to her anymore. I unfortunately won't be coming back to this location due to the poor service and how the lady argue with me about using the gift card that I was told could be used at any hot bagel store. Im actually just so tired of not being treated like a customer so here's your one star...
