Scarlet — Local services in Little Rock

I have shopped here off and on since the store opened years ago and although I live out of state, I will occasionally stop in when I’m home for the holidays or a family visit. All of the negative reviews are correct and it saddens me that this is the way people are made to feel when shopping here. From the perspective of a wardrobe stylist, they have a few great brands in store, however the pieces they select and how they style them almost make the higher end brand look like any other wholesale southern boutique item. Which I’m sure does cause confusion as to why you are paying so much for an ordinary tank top. At the end of the day, this is a clothing boutique in the south and it’s obviously not the same clothing stores I shop at in LA. If you are looking for chic, or trendy high end clothing, you can find it but disregard how anything is styled by the staff here. I hate that they have such a bad reputation because this is my hometown and I would love to recommend them or support them, but they have typical mean girl attitudes, including the owners and buyer...

DO NOT come in this store if you are black or a person of color!!! Came in on a slow Saturday with my mom and stopped here after doing some shopping at Belk and decided to stop in for my first time. The store was dead with just two other customers in the store, yet for some reason the customers couldn’t open their mouth to greet us. I work at a small boutique myself in Little Rock and know how important it is to greet EVERYBODY. You would think a small boutique with workers doing nothing but sitting at the front desk could greet us, but no. I’m not sure whether it’s because we didn’t match their description of who should be shopping there (two black women) or they just have no customer service training. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. From the advice I’ve been give for special events, to actually knowing what I like, and keeping up with it. A+. It’s now fun 🤩 to share the shopping at scarlet with my daughters. My Christmas was pretty awesome this year, as they gave my husband some great guidelines.
