I ordered a switch to be sent to the Target store in Livonia, Michigan. Every store I went to didn't have it in stock and it is supposed to be a gift for my little sisters birthday, Jan 14th. She lives with me so having it shipped to the house was out of the question. Those are the two main reasons I used this service for those wondering. A hold was placed on my card for this item. I receive an email that my item had arrived at the store on Jan 3rd and that I had until Jan 10th to go and pick it up. I sent my mom to pick it up on Jan 5th because I was busy. A female associate tells her that my item was no longer there and had probably been SOLD to another customer because it wasn't paid for. Mind you the email said I had until the 10th to pick it up. At this point I contact my bank and I am told that the money was TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT ON JAN 4th. THE 4th. So not only is my item missing and no longer even in the store but MY MONEY WAS TAKEN AS WELL! Yet this female associate continued to LIE AND SAY THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN PAID FOR! AND WHY DID THEY CLAIM TO SELL IT ANYWAY AFTER JUST 2 DAYS? The female associate then advised my mother that it is Target policy NOT TO TAKE MONEY FOR A TRANSACTION LIKE THIS ONE UNTIL THE ITEM HAS BEEN PICKED UP FROM THE STORE. Given all this information it is my STRONG belief that a Target employee likely stole my item. The item should have been in holding and NO ONE but me or my mother should have even been able to take it. I was able to speak to a manager who assured me he would investigate this matter, I advise he actually do so because I WILL BE CONTACTING CORPORATE ON THIS MATTER! I was given a refund and a $20 gift card which I don't feel was enough given all the trouble I had. Not to mention I have to do even more waiting since the refund will take 2-3 days. This service just completely WASTED MY TIME. This review was made to advise buyers not to use this service or at the very least be weary when doing so. And definitely don't have anything sent to Target at Livonia, Michigan EVER. I will be contacting that manager to see if he has any info on the thievery but it is highly unlikely that he will admit to an employee stealing. Anyway rant over. I left the gym and I went in to exchange a simple curtain rod along with making a few other purchases: cotton balls and hair bonnet. Nonetheless, I had my receipt from the purchase just the day before at the target in my neighborhood (Southfield & 13 mile-exceptional service there) where I purchased approximately $200 in goods - I used 3-$5 gift certificates in conjunction with the balance being charged to my redcard when I made the initial purchase. Upon returning the 1- $15.99 item, the cashier offered me a gift card as opposed to returning the cost to my card... I questioned how I would be able to obtain my 5% reduction if youāre putting it on a gift card as opposed to my redcard - she stated to return to her and sheād take care of it! NOT SO! The cashier was no longer at the register (guest services) but Martina was present- with a horrid disposition! Even if the cashier was unable to provide the stated service from the initial cashier I encountered at this location- being combative and exceptionally rude DOES NOT RESOLVE THE MATTER. I spoke with Kayla - a āsupervisorā who then tried justifying the incident- totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! Relentlessly she opted to oblige the 5% as the employee started to over talk management... I explained it should be a coaching opportunity- instead MARTINA interjected and continued to be combative with me as well as her supervisor! Martina did not have a name tag visible, however, her supervisor identified her as Martina! This had me thinking experience had me questioning if I should return everything and burn my redcard! My consumer funds should not provide salaries for employees who demonstrate this level of service [or lack there of]. Brian L from Mobil asked me if I needed anything else while Nicholas A was getting my item. Then I was having trouble trying to figure out how to scan my Target app during my purchase. Then John from human resources came up and showed me how to use app for that purchase, and how to use my while shopping, scan for additional discounts, and many other advantages of your well built Target app. I tried purchasing several electronic devices and their cases and screens , etc from Walmart next door. No one seems to be employed there, when there is someone there it's Christmas grossly understaffed, the customers are very put off and leave frustrated and angry. I suggest you forget shopping next door. Their employees are invisible, rude, don't know anything about their own app, they cannot help even if find someone. I have no problems at target. Starting from getting my Starbucks, groceries, other departments, to cashing out. I found out that shopping can be fun, it should be. Thank you Target, your store is clean, stocked well, great customer service. I love that you have lots of Vegan options, diabetic , and low cholesterol healthy well priced foods. I love and I always tell people about how great your food diversity is and the prices are much better. I think im done with Walmart forever, you all have great team attitude. Thanks again.
