I went through the drive up to get a medication that was texted to me that it was ready. I sat behind another car. After 15 minutes of waiting, I called and spoke to a pharmacy person. I asked if the gentleman in front of me was going to be much longer ( I didn’t want to leave if it was only going to be another minute) I was told there is an insurance issue and they close at 1 pm, it was 12:59. I was told that they would still take me. I left very frustrated. This is not the 1st time this has happened, the last time it again was an insurance issue. I left to do other errands, drove past 45 min later and the same car was at the window. Maybe I’m wrong but it seems that the drive through is for pick up, meaning you received a text that it was ready. If there is an insurance issue, then was the medication actually ready? And if not, should the customer not be asked to park and come inside so other customers can be waited on? Shame on Osco pharmacy in LOCKPORT. After I am able to get my medication, I will be taking my prescriptions across the street to...
Read morePharmacist is incompetent, after I asked for advice about decongestants, HE suggested an allergy medicine thats behind the counter and requires an ID to purchase. I gave him my Illinois issued class A CDL. He typed my DL number into his computer and couldn't pull up my information. He then asked if I had a state issued drivers license or ID because he couldn't accept my CDL as an ID. What? That is my state issued drivers license. I have been a long time customer of Osco pharmacy, just not this location as I am new to the area. But that shouldn't have mattered as I have never had any issues at any other location I have been too. He simply said he couldn't sell me the medication, THAT HE SUGGESTED without a state issued drivers license or ID because he didn't know what a CDL was. I have been a customer of Osco pharmacy for 19 years, at 4 different locations across the state, I have never had an issue with them not being able to find me in their computer and I have definitely never heard someone tell me my CDL wasn't a proper state issued...
Read moreAutomated text system, designed to let you know when a prescription is ready, also auto-refills scripts even if you don't want that option - you can't have one or the other. I've had to ask to be removed from the system a half-dozen times. Also been told 2x my note to be removed was "in the wrong place."
A pharmacist ARGUED with me recently, claiming that she called 3x to alert me about a backorder on a script for which I never requested.
When I did order a refill two weeks later, one pharmacist told me the drug was on back order, only to get a call the next day telling me the script had been waiting for pickup for 9 days and that I had 1 day to do so.
Pharmacist says she'll call with an update. No call, forcing me to follow up 2 days later. Of course, the script was ready.
Manager refused to take my phone call after I expressed my overall frustration to another pharmacist. That says all I need to know about this location's customer service, which has been horrible for the past 6-8 months. Taking by...
