Magpie Books Longview — Local services in Longview

While the store itself is charming and has a wide selection of books, I'm disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Not once was I acknowledged while I was in the store. I purposely even lingered near the front desk to see if I would get a "hello" or "welcome in" or even a "is there anything I can help you find".. still nothing.

I like shopping and supporting local, but I have a hard time being supportive and spending money at a business that doesn't take a quick second to greet a customer when they enter their establishment. It was not busy in there either, so there's really no excuse for not making the environment feel welcoming for...

This is a great locally owned, husband and wife, bookstore featuring a variety of genres, including their “Banned Book Section.” I immediately went to and found six books to add to my personal library for future reading. This is my new go to bookstore when visiting family while in Longview.

This is such a fantastic little store. The book selection is incredible and the mystery book picks are adorably wrapped and always a great read. The staff are so friendly and helpful and have such a huge range of interests that there's always good recommendations no matter your taste. I love having this store here. From books to social gatherings to local resources or even just stopping to talk someone's ear off, this is a fantastic addition...
