We’ve been long time Minami fans! I remember coming into Minami’s when my daughter was a little girl and the food was good, even then. It was one of her favorite places to eat. I think there may be new owners, but nothing has changed. My daughter is not little anymore and visiting from DC, so she begged us to eat at Minami’s on the way to PDX, for her trip back to the concrete jungle! The teriyaki is still delicious and the portions are generous! The plates come with a delicious, crunchy iceberg lettuce salad with a scrumptious mayo based dressing. We also got a cup of miso soup. The teriyaki is not overpowering or overwhelming, and the grilled flavor of the chicken is spot on. My husband got the almond chicken and sweet & sour chicken combo. He asked for fried rice with his combo, but they goofed and gave him white rice. They fixed the mistake with a huge plate of fried rice! That made my husband happy! It was hot and chock full of good stuff! That’ll be dinner tonight! *Note: some photos were taken after we dug in, so the portion size is a lot less on the sweet and sour plate! There was a lot more food on that plate before I took a photo! Don’t gloss over Minami Yeriyaki! You’ll be...
Read moreI've frequented here over 4 years. Loved the food. Had amazing service, until today. This is the 1rst time I've ordered something I didn't like & hadn't had before. Which was ok, until I went 4 the salad. I love the dressing bought it by the bottle. Today it was diffrent. I didn't like it. When I called about this, I was told nothings diffrent. I'm sorry but the dressing has changed my tounges not lieing. I also told them the sweet n sour chicken wasn't right either I was hung up on. I won't be going back nit because of 5he food, because the owner was mean about. I wasn't attacking him, I said to me it's gross. To me, he either couldn't or wouldn't not take it personal. I understood where he was coming from, he refused me even that much. I was refunded, I...
Read moreI saw the reviews and decided I would try it. The beef was tough and full of fat chunks with the slight taste of it going bad. The chicken was burnt. The salad was almost all white lettuce with a pail yellow dressing that was very vinegary. They charged $1-$2 more than most places. They gave the smallest portion of teriyaki I have seen and charged $0.25 more for extra. I can't see how they got such good ratings other than there is not much competition in town or they faked the reviews. The one other place that I tried was ok and I would eat there again but this place was horrible. I wanted to find someplace better than ok and got much worse. The only other place in town I haven't tried I have been...
