Natural Grocers — Local services in Los Alamos

Great store to have in town. It would make it even better if bags were provided, and cashiers would help with packing. When people buy a lot of stuff, it takes them some time to fit everything in boxes or bags. There is no help with that, like at other stores in town, and when there is a line, it makes some people (older people especially) uncomfortable, as they frantically try to pack things fast to get out of the way and not hold the line. It's sad to see how an old lady tries to pack everything herself, and because of COVID I guess, nobody is allowed to help her. The cashier is just standing there waiting for her to finish. I understand there are rules about reusable bags, cashier can't touch them, but I would think a cashier can at least help with filling boxes? Sometimes there is only one cashier during the peak hours, so maybe at least during the peak hours some help can be provided?

Free bags and help, like at other stores in town, would make a shopping experience better. It will pay for itself, as some people will go to other stores for large purchases, as it is simply so much...

Since discovering I'm gLuTeN iNtOlErAnT (yes I'm that guy now, sadly), Natty-G's is my go to for snacks and staples. Only place in town I can get wannabe-Cheetos and a frozen pizza that won't turn me into a human garbage disposal. Best part is, they have multiple kinds. I get to pick now. New experiences. That's what life is all about.

Keep head on a swivel in the supplement section. It's exhaustive in selection but someone will come up and ask you if you need help. Sometimes I get curious about Horney Goat Weed and get surprised, that's all.

So, just a heads up. Act accordingly.

Really nice selection of colors for...

The Natural Grocers in Los Alamos is a nice inclusion to the town. It brings certain produce and that is missing from smiths like a more rounded mushroom selection, a great fruit section full of many different varieties of apples, a large selection of supplements, and my favorite an increase in gluten free alternative choices in town. So far, the staff have been very courteous and helpful asking customers if they needed help finding anything and generally being cheery and upbeat. All in all, its great having a Natural...
