I think we can all admit that LA is pretty much the cream of the crop when it comes to aethestics and beauty, but even within this huge city, you really have to dig deep to find some of the hidden gems. It was definitely a trial & error process to find a good nail lady, but I think I finally found one worth coming back for! I now understand when people say 'I only let __ touch my hair / nails,' because that's how I feel about Joanne - small but mighty, this is your go-to for the butter & bread of nails in LA.

I found her on Yelp after seeing glowing reviews back in May, and I've been going to get my nails done ever since. I've gotten my nails done in different cities across NYC, Boston, Philly, Maryland, and here, and I can say for certain that I have yet to meet someone as detail-oriented and clean as Joanne. She is very meticulous with cuticle treatment/clean-up and uses really good products. I can tell because sometimes, her gel polish will easily last me 3 weeks. She also always offers her personal touch which, for someone who is indecisive with designs, is always appreciated.

The owner is RACIST! I really like Euni who works for her but she treats her so bad. Berates her in front of customers and verbally abusive to her.

The owner did my nails once, and they were AWFUL. They started cracking less than three days later and I had to go back for her to fix them.

Ever since then, she over charges me $8 a nail for ANY design and says its because I need them thick. She advises my tec to charge me more and I have the receipts to prove it! SHE IS OVER CHARGING ME AND I WILL BE REVERSING ALL PAYMENTS.

Whenever I discuss price with my tec, she lowers the music to listen to make sure I AM BEING OVER CHARGED.

When she is talking about you, she talks in KOREAN and then goes back to english.

When ever she talks to me, she is SO RUDE. She told me... I need to learn how to communicate because she was miss informed.

Hi, I typically don’t write reviews but wanted to give a safety warning for this one. The staff is sweet but definitely ask twice on the price before coming here (the prices on the menu are misleading). For a very simple French design and, hard gel it was $180 in total and they added silk extension (don’t even know what that is) without my consent which was another added $30. The manager was not sympathetic to the overcharge.

I requested a partial refund ($60 back) because I value my time, and what I consented to from your pricing menu. Your staff was kind, so I hoped to be professional and speak to you on it personally.
