What kind of business lectures a paying customer not to work on your own lawn equipment, accusing the customer "You don't know what you're doing"? Doug of Baba's Lawnmower Repair is that individual. He even went as far as threatening to charge me $250 if I didn't disclose fixing my lawn equipment. I'm still having issues starting my lawnmower when he claimed he had fixed the issue. He kept berating me from the time I arrived to pick up my lawnmower to the time I left. This guy is totally unhinged. Seems he has a real problem with customers trying to repair their own equipment. Even so, he's the "expert" so any wrong repair any customer makes he should be able to diagnose the problem. Rude and obnoxious owner. He gave me tons of reasons why he did not care if I gave him my business, despite taking two lawnmowers to him before. He said it would take a long time to tuneup my trimmer. I asked, how long, two weeks? He said more. I said OK. He said it would cost $90 just to check to see if it was fixable. I said OK. He said he doesn’t guarantee his work. I said OK. He said it’s a cheap product. (Toro. Cost $250). He said gas trimmers will be outlawed soon. Ask owner a question about placement of a carburetor gasket & his reply was he couldn't tell me due to manufacture of such brand doesn't allow him to tell me. Then he tried to up sell me to a complete carburetor kit at a RIDICULOUSLY PRICED & Months of waiting. Bad for business especially locally....
