Finally an ice cream (soft serve) place where I can trust the ingredients. Having a fam member who is allergic to dairy it’s always a hit or miss experience going to ice cream shops since most places use the same scooper and won’t clean that well going from dairy to non dairy. Even if you ask them to use a new scooper, the person before who went in to the non dairy Ice cream could have used a regular scooper. For these reasons when I saw this place pop up on York I was soooo excited because with soft serve you don’t use a scooper since it’s released from a machine. I also live that they have pretty sliced soft serve pies which basically beats ice cream cake imho. I love how many vegan and gf options they have (but beware that their pies are not gf, at least not when I went). I’ve tried many flavors at this point from vegan, gf, to reg old dairy and they’re all so so good. I love the house pie with the crunchy caramel bits and my son loves the...
Read moreWe walked in on a whim, and the only thing I regret is not having come here sooner. I pass by there so often and because i wasn't sure what a magpie was i never tried it. Lily greeted us and provided the customer experience you can't pay for, especially now a days. She started with detailing all the pies even though it was written on the screen, then proceeded to allow us to sample and offer her recommendations for flavors. She even suggested to add some chocolate drizzle on my pie since I really wanted chocolate. She shared the ingredients and the vegan options without me asking as well as that they alternate flavors every few weeks. She is the best sales person and so kind and patient. The soft serve and pie is really good too! Strawberry shortcake pie wasn't too sweet and shareable size. My son loved the fudgesicle flavor. Well, we will be back soon and hope to see...
Read moreI ordered thin mint ice cream with brownie bites and cookie crumbs. I have yet to find any place that can achieve non-dairy ice cream with such a consistency. I figured V must have stood for vegetarian and not vegan, but I was wrong. Surprisingly, it is not dairy, but oat milk! Anybody who is lactose intolerant must try this place! With this restaurant so close to me, I feel like I can finally eat ice cream again! It is expensive, but as someone who can’t enjoy ice cream normally, it is so worth it! The ice cream tasted exactly like thin months, but freezing cold! It’s taste and temperature is exactly what I try to achieve by putting my Girl Scout cookies in the freezer. The cookie crumbs made it so...
