I visited Berry Bowl on 9/15/23 around 11 am. I had decided to take a chance despite some of the negative reviews pertaining to customer service. However, what I discovered was nice, friendly, & helpful employees. I was indecisive on what Acai to get so I was offered a samples. After my sample I still could not make a decision. The young lady at the register informed me that I could get both & mix my bowI with both flavors. I believe it was Tropical Acai & Acai. Let me back up. I asked the staff several questions prior to sampling because I am lactose intolerance & need to know what is mixed into the bowl. She explained everything to me in detail. There was another young man who placed my toppings. He also was just as nice to me as the other staff member. He calmly explained to me all the different types of granola. I was reluctant on the coconut topping because I don’t like dry & hard coconut shaving. He told me that it was not hard & it was in fact soft. All of my toppings were fresh & as you can see it was plentiful. There are three sizes to choice from.Yup, I got the large and ate every bit of it all to myself. They have seating inside & out. There is a choice if available, to sit at the table with more shading/privacy. The other option is the typical table in the open, which is where I sat. I plan to...
Read moreBerry Bowl is my not-so-guilty pleasure. I come here often for acai bowls. They have different flavors of mixed acai (classic, tropical, peanut butter) as well as pitaya, mango, and coconut. The bases are smooth with an ice-cream like consistency. Pitaya is a little icier but still very good and smooth. Toppings are included in the price and you can pretty much add as many items as you want (they have put a new limitation only on butters-- now you have to choose between Nutella, peanut butter, and almond butter lol). But everything else is fair game!! They have a lot of variety. I usually like adding chia pudding, all the fruits (strawberries, blueberries, bananas), honey, almond butter (peanut is also good ..), almonds, toasted coconut (they also have non-toasted), goji berries, flax seed, pumpkin seeds, and there's more!! They have 4 different sizes available, for any amount you are craving. Personally I think "small" gives best base to topping ratio, but they come in mini too. The place also makes delicious smoothies. I love the green smoothie! Bowls are not cheap but comparable to most places, and given that they let you put as many toppings as you want, I think they are reasonably priced. Will keep...
Read moreI’ve been going here for ages and it’s usually okay but I had a bad experience with a female server today- a larger lady with dark hair and glasses. I ordered and then got in line to be served. The guy in front of me walked away with the woman who had just been served. The server turned to me holding what looked like a small bowl of acai and asked “small bowl?” so I said yes, because that was what I’d paid for. After putting a couple of toppings on it she then realized it was actually a different base flavor and for the guy who’d walked away and then returned, but she accused me of “jumping the line” and made a big fuss like I’d committed some criminal act in an attempt to screw everyone over. The guy kinda jumped on board this blame train too. It was so weird. It was clearly a mistake (and not even on my part). The only one screwed over was me, who didn’t get the flavor I wanted and was treated like garbage. Guys, it’s like a $7 bowl of fruit. Relax.
