First off I’d like to acknowledge an exceptional sales professional by the name of Julianne who works at the Chanel counter. I made a pre sale transaction with her and she was professional, friendly, and willing to help. How she fits into this sour unprofessional environment is beyond me, but she really is the only bright spot in this store. Bloomingdales in general seems to have serious issues with their customer service. Employees stand around in their ghost town stores unwilling to help. No one approaches you to offer assistance, and when one asks for assistance employees treat it like an intrusion. I went to this location to pick up a pre sale order. I was told by Julianne that if she was not there, anyone at the counters could assist me but no one did. I was finally directed to a very rude salesman by the name of Sylvain. I did not have my receipt of the pre sale, so I was fully aware that I would have to show identification. This wasn’t enough for him as I then went through an FBI interrogation having to identify names and quantities of every item I purchased, as well as my method of payment, date I made the presale, and who assisted me with the transaction. He brought my items out and then made up a story to try and cover his unprofessional behavior by stating that he had to ask all of his questions because a sales person accidentally gave a wrong order to another customer. Really??? I had my identification that was enough! Won’t be coming back to this store under any circumstances. Going to Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom. One is treated with professionalism and helpfulness at these stores. No more...
Read moreI went with some idea for a gift for my best friend and end-up having such an easy shopping, all thanks to Lydia Golani at Ives Saint Laurent women's cosmetics department. I hate shopping, it stresses me out and I prefer to shop online. However, experience that I had with Lydia changed my view. As of now, all the fancy gifts I will purchase through her. I liked how she took care of me, to have a patience and ideas. We did a lot of mixing from perfumes to make-up, and I end-up leaving with 2 beautifully wrapped boxes with YSL signs....My friend was over the moon! Lydia helped me to hand pick exactly what my friend's taste is like. Amazing! Lydia left me her card, that way I can be up-to-date on some new hot arrivals that I would love to gift my friends. Bloomingdale's is lucky to have her. Before stepping to the store, I already checked Macy's, Nordstrom and some others.... the energy or presentations just didn't work for me. I hate to be rushed or ignored. Whoever is putting the store together, including lighting, is doing...

My brother asked me to exchange a coat he bought here, I have never been here before and I'm never coming back it looked like a corporate party and nobody wanted to help you. I was walking around up and down left to right the whole story trying to find somebody to help me but people keep sending me anywhere else away from them after spending 45 minutes walking every inch of the store just trying to find somebody that could assist me exchanging a coat I finally found somebody that barely wanted to help me he made it seem as if he was doing me a favor by assisting me. One look at the coat and he said I know we don't have that and I said well can you check in the back or check in the computer? He/she made a big deal and was like fine chicken and Peter and said nope nobody has it and we're never getting it. So I just wasted an hour for nothing had to pay for parking and didn't even get my coat exchanged for a...
