OVERALL EXPERIENCE: PURE BLISS!!! Would definitely be back! I enjoyed my Head Spa experience and it was incredibly relaxing!
AMBIANCE: Chic. Noise level is average/loud. Downstairs is the hair salon, and upstairs is the head spa. There are two separate/private rooms for the Head Spa experience. Noise level can be heard. Would definitely recommend a sound machine at the door, or turning up the relaxing music higher.
DRESS CODE: Casual /comfy for your Head Spa experience!
SERVICE RECEIVED: I had to book my Head Spa appt 4mos in advance! I selected the 60mins Botanical Deep Scalp Spa. I did not have any scalp concerns that brought me in, but they do have different head spa services to address hair loss, dry scalp, oily scalp, and age-defying!
SERVICE: the ladies at the check-in counter were very friendly! I received my head spa service by Sayaka and my sister had Sally. We both LOVED our experience with them!!
EXPERIENCE: First, they use a camera to inspect your scalp and take pictures. Next, you enter the private room and lay in the lounge chair. They prop your feet up, cover you with a blanket, and put a towel over your eyes. They both checked in as to how the pressure of the scalp massage was (firm and incredibly relaxing!). The water temp was perfect (not too cold, not too hot). the 60mins consisted of treatment, massage, hair steam, and wash, They used organic products that smelled amazing! Once your session is complete, you go back out to inspect your scalp again. They do not dry or style your hair, but you can use the blowdryer. You can add on a blowout/styling if you choose for extra $. Currently on day 2 post head spa (I wash my hair nightly), and my hair is still feeling silky and I can still smell the products!
PRICE: 60mins was $125
PARKING: Metered/street parking on the main street. Be careful and read the street signs, as the first block is for residents and a permit is required. But if you go up another block, there is 2hr...
Read moreI first saw this place on a YouTube post, and I was curious. I have dry scalp and was wanting to see if this treatment would help. Mayuu was very sweet and gave a wonderful massage and treatment. The essential oils she used smelled wonderful, and I felt at ease/relaxed easily. I was surprised to see how tiny the place is, but it wasn’t hard to find (near the corner of the street). There’s a parking garage right across the street for a $10 fee - be sure to park there, as street parking requires a permit. I was running late due to traffic, but I was not penalized in any way - I got my full treatment time and Mayuu was kind and allowed me to move my car from the street to the parking structure. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get there, depending on where you’re coming from. There’s a little restaurant next door that you could even go to before or after your treatment (I didn’t get a chance to go in, but maybe next time).
Before my treatment, Mayuu used a camera to take before images of my scalp - this way I could see the buildup that needed to be treated. It was really cool! After the treatment, she will take images again, to show the difference afterwards. She recommended to come back every 6-8 weeks, but I feel like this would be more of a once a year treat due to the pricing.
Also, if you want to dry your hair before you leave, they do have hair dryers to use, or if you’re wanting a professional blow dry you’ll need to book this separately. The hair stylist was very nice (I don’t recall her first name), and she offered me a coffee, tea or water while she styled my hair.
Bottom line - it was really cool to try, and I’d come back maybe once a year just to treat myself. My head felt and looked better, the buildup was gone, etc., however, I had a bit of flaking that night (probably the dryness of the weather, not bc of the treatment). Oh well! Still was...
Read moreUnfortunately I did not get that OMG this is it feeling like I’d expect for the price.. I’d rather had gone to Disneyland for the price. The fact that the person working on my hair didn’t even know what was on my scalp is odd given that they consider themselves “scalp specialists”. I tried going to a dermatologist before & they just recommended head & shoulders yet that irritated my scalp . I had to save up for years given the location was extremely far ! I expected to know exactly what was wrong beside a disgusted face & pointing at hair is “dirty & inflamed “ with the camera to my scalp . I left feeling ripped off & truly embarrassed for the other girl that had to look at my scalp as she got her treatment behind me. Going to the spa room it felt so cheesy. I expected it to be much more relaxing yet it felt like going to the back of an average salon like at super cuts . Door wasn’t even closed so I could hear the other client talking & there weren’t any cool lights or anything spectacular that made it seem like it was worth the price they’re charging. There’s no dedicated parking / charging spots if you plan on driving to this salon you may have to circle around the block couple times finding a parking spot. Nizoral was my last resort given the chemicals yet it actually ended up working better than my treatment at this salon as I still had flakes leaving the salon.. I at least gave it a shot with high hopes after seeing this salon on YouTube. May work for you but it doesn’t seem...
