Beware - plants "appear" healthy. Purchased a fiddle leaf fig plant pre potted and about a week later it was showing some concerning features such as browning leaves, holes in the leaves, and small flies/bugs. The plant was placed in a well lit area with little disruption and was watered as instructed. As weeks went on, the plant continued to worsen and leaves began to fall completely off the tree. I contacted the City Home & Garden to voice my concern about the plants condition. The sales person talked me through the plants watering schedule and placements and determined it wasn't any of those factors that were wrong and that they would talk to her boss. Doing more research It was evident that the plant was sick with what they call "root rot" which had been festering for some time. Therefore, I again, reached out to the sales women who corresponded with the owner (who does not speak english) to voice my frustration with the product I purchased and request a new plant (even offered to pay for repotting). I have cared for plants before and nothing like this has ever happened. The owner refused to replace the dead plant as he "does not give a guarantee on the plant's health". It has been less than 2 months since we purchased and there were signs of sickness less than a month of purchase. I am very disappointed in the customer service of this store. It seems they do not care about their customers and the quality of the product they sell. I would not recommend this store to anyone. They are selling SICK plants. The person whom i corresponded made it very clear that the owner did not care about the quality of the plant he was selling and the satisfaction of the customer. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for...
Read moreI'm going to be real about this place.
It is a very good place to get your plants at a reasonable price, but this place is not as amazing as the other reviewers are making it out to be. If you are looking for a wide, but general assortment of plants like orchids, green house plants and trees, succulents, cati--come here. Also, the prices and the plant quality are really good here. I got 2 small stems of white orchids in a single pot for $9. That's a better price than Trader Joes and they look really great. The guy that was there helped me pick out the best ones when I was there.
When these orchids die, I will come back here for new ones. For statements flowers and arrangements, I would go somewhere else though.
Parking is metered and not-metered on the street. Try to park close though. I parked one block over and I was hassled by Skid Row's finest on the way to and...

Old review: We love house plants. Not too many options for large plants in the flower district. We’ve stopped in this place a few times. The lady that owns/runs it is the absolute worst part of this place. She is passive aggressive and will make you feel unwelcome. Every time we’ve gone in she seems to go out of her way to communicate to us we aren’t welcome. Go elsewhere, there’s nothing unique...
