Echo Park Eats — Local services in Los Angeles

There’s one “restaurant” here that I particularly enjoy, so I order pickup on their website sometimes. What really bothers me is the shady design of their website/the checkout process. When you go to check out, the payment options and “pay with Apple Pay” are readily visible when the webpage opens. When you click pay with Apple Pay, a tip is automatically applied. To take the tip off, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. I have been duped like this twice already. Why is a tip being automatically applied when you literally have zero interactions with humans here? Who is the tip going to? It makes no sense and is very upsetting to me when food costs are already...

My second time visiting this place, and very glad that they moved the pick-up location to the bottom of that hill.
